The Airson Heir

I sipped on my firewhiskey as I watched the newly married Potters dance together. Potter Manor's backyard was covered in fairy lights and had a little dance floor for Lily and James to dance on together. It was a small wedding due to the state of the Wizarding World.

James spun Lily around with the biggest grin on his face. Sirius leaned over, "I have never seen Prongs so happy, until today. Evans must be something to make James dance."

Sitting up from my seat, I offered Sirius my hand, "Come dance with me, Padfoot. We have yet to go on the dance floor and dance with the others."

Sirius wasted no time, before taking my hand then pulling me onto the dance floor. I wrapped my hands around his neck, while his hands rested on my hips. Our foreheads were pressed against each other and our smiles were uncontrolled.

He sent me a wink, before sending me in a spin, and pulling me back to his chest. He leaned down and whispered, "You look gorgeous, Mrs. Black. I have have to get back to work when we return home." His husk voice sending goosebumps down my back.

I laughed as I shook my head. Sirius took the chance and spun me again, then pulled me back. I clutched onto his tux shirt to stable myself. I noticed Sirius' face drop a bit looking over me.

Turning to see what he was looking at, my face dropped a bit as well. Back at your table, where Kade and Beth were sitting, they seemed to be in a heated argument. I felt like I should go over there, but I knew they probably needed space.

"You think it's about their two year mark?" Sirius asked me in a hushed tone.

I lowered my head, "I have no clue. They have been married for almost two years and still no luck on any heirs, but two years was the deal. It shouldn't be as big as a deal as everyone makes it. They both are about to be twenty-five. They have time, just as we do. I mean Lucius and Cissy still don't have their heir and they have been married for six years."

Sirius scoffed, "They got married when Cissy was eighteen and the blonde bitch was nineteen as we are. They wanted to hold off, but with Andromeda being disowned, Druella pushed Narcissa to get married. Cissy said she would wait as long as she had her time before bringing any children into the world. She wants to wait until Tom hopefully has his fall."

I turned back to see Kade and Beth sitting in silence. They have never fought and it ended in complete silence. I scanned the crowed to see Remus at the bar, making himself a drink.

Taking Sirius' hand, I pulled him over to Remus, "You two haven't talked in a while. Check up and have some fun together. I need to go check up on something."

Before either could say or get a word out of their mouth, I walked away and back to our table. I sat down, but Beth and Kade still wouldn't look up from the table. I sighed, "What's wrong with you two?"

Kade took his eyes off the table and put a fake smile on his face, "Oh, I will let Beth tell you. It's such great news!" He said sarcastically

Beth glared at Kade, but then turned back to be with a sadden look on her face, "I'm pregnant. Before, you cheer and say how wonderful it is, we aren't telling anyone. This babies life depends on it with Tom still trying to get blood wizards on his side."

I gave Kade a confused look, "Why would this upset you? You are going to be a father and it's before the two years are up! You won't have anyone down your throat like Cissy does."

"She wants to keep fighting in the order, until she starts showing. Then, when she starts showing, she's running away to stay somewhere with her family. I won't be allowed to know where or be by her side until the baby is born! I'm being banned from seeing the growth of my child!" Kade snapped.
