Jaden

The blood trickled down my finger and eventually fell onto the piece of parchment on the table in front of me. Rotanev and Rigel closed their eyes and started whispering the spell. I deepened the wound on my finger, to allow more blood to fall onto the parchment.

The three of us gasped as the parchment caught on fire and started to form words in front of us. We reached onto each others hands and started to whisper the spell together. The flames getting brighter and brighter as we got louder.

Rotanev looked at Rigel and I, before we pushed our hands forward until the flames went back onto the parchment. This time the parchment had words on it. Airson Bond. It worked. It really worked.

Rigel's eyes gleamed with joy as he looked at the parchment, "We did it! We actually did it!" He paused for a moment and his face fell, "We did it. We did an impossible spell." He whispered.

Rotanev pulled out the blood quill she stole from Umbrigde, "Alright, we only have a few moments that the spell is open. It's now or never. Jaden, you're the oldest. You have to go first."

I nodded and took the quill from my cousin's hand. I bent down and wrote my name onto the parchment that was burnt with the bond labeled on it. As I wrote my name I could feel the top of my hand began to bleed. The blood from my name fell onto the parchment.

Rigel took the quill from my hand since he was born next. He carefully wrote his name next to mine. His name was slowly being carved into his skin, and his blood falling onto the parchment, mixing with mine.

He handed it off to Rotanev and he smiled proudly as she wrote her name down. The blood from her scars dripping onto the parchment, making a marble effect with Rigel's and mine. Three Airson's blood mixing together in a bond.

After Rotanev was done, we all three smiled. I ran my hands through my hair, "We are bonded. Like the unbreakable vow, but worse. This proves our family loyalty, and loyalty to each other. Where one of us goes, the others go."

Rigel wrapped his arms around Rotanev and I, "We must owl our parents and tell them the good news! Mum will be trilled that it finally worked! Jaden, you must tell Kade and Beth!"

My face dropped at the mention of my parents names. I picked up my things and started to wrap my hands, so the bleeding would stop, "You know I'm not on the best of terms with them, Rigel."

Rotanev turned her attention towards me, "Well, I don't know, so why don't you tell me? I am your favorite cousin after all." I glared at her, "I'm sorry. You don't have to tell me."

I shook my head, "No, it's just... I'm an Airson heir. They want me to marry a pureblood. I told them about my study sessions with Ginny Weasley when we were home for the summer, and they laughed and talked about how they knew she would need help since she's a Weasley. They went on to talk about how they are glad that I'm only helping her with her studies and nothing more."

Rotanev patted me on the shoulder, "I'm sorry, Jaden. I can see both sides. Ginny's parents don't like Mum, Kade, or Uncle Reg because of our families past with being deatheaters. All I can tell you is that if you fancy Ginny, don't let your parents get between that."

Rigel snorted, "I could tell you the same thing, Miss I with Graham, but secretly fancy Theodore. We all see it! You clearly aren't hexing each other out of spite anymore. It's out of love!"

I grabbed one of the pillows off of my bed and hit Rigel in the face with it, "Don't be so mean towards your sister. Not everyone can come out and say who they fancy like you do. You need to remember not everyone is like you, Rigel."
