"I didn't say that, lemme finish, geez. I said I wouldn't kill, not that I wouldn't protect him. There is always another way."

   "Such as?" He says skeptically.

"Knock them out, it has the same effects."

". . .pft-" He breaks out into a harder laugh.

   "Huh. . .?"

   . . .

The coachman opens the door and Izana walks out. He's greeted by two rich looking men. Between the two is a tense air and it's clear those are the ones at the center of the turmoil.

"My friends, shall we go inside?" One asks. This one has blonde hair streaked with silvery grey.

Izana and the other, with dark hair, nodded and they turned to walk up the regal steps. I follow instep with the others' aides.

Both of them are men, much taller than I. Aides are supposed to help their masters with work and whatnot, with me being the exception, but these two also seem to be excluded from the average duties assigned to those in our positions. If I didn't know any better, I would assume the other royals came with certain expectations of the other.

Izana is just here to get in the middle of it, but he's nothing but a side character in their feud. If anything does occur, I'll have to get Izana out of there. His presence is unnecessary in the long run when it comes to a war breaking out.

Then again, he may be the cause.

I withhold a laugh, poorly. The aides look at me and I quiet down quickly. I'll have to hand it to them, they're intimidating.

Everyone settles in a large room with three chairs positioned evenly and facing in toward a table. Before conversations started, maids came to pour tea.

"Izana," the dark haired one said. I thought Izana would mention the name, but he didn't. He must be a higher rank. King, most likely.

"Before we start," he waves a finger in the air, gesturing for me. I walk from behind his chair to stand next to him, absolutely lost as to why he wanted me. "My aide will be taking over for me."

"Are you dumb?" I cover my mouth quickly.

"No no, keep going." He said.

"You-" I lower my voice to a whisper, "You said this could affect the future of Clarines, why would you trust me? I'm just an aide, what if they take it as a sign of disrespect?"

"Right now they are both trying to have me choose a side, they don't have any leeway to be offended by me."

I weigh my options. . . I have none. It's not my decision because right now he's the boss. Even if I think this is an idiotic decision on his part, it's his problem.

"Okay. . . Your majesty." I face back towards the others.

   "Shall we continue?" He says.

"R-right." The greying blonde stutters before regaining his confidence. "The issue is he is attempting to-"

"I wouldn't need to attempt if you would let my kingdom be."

They both start a shouting match. It escalated very quickly. Both of them leaned across the table to yell in the other's face. I only stood there until I saw their beasts of aides shifted to ready their weapons.

"Calm down," they kept shouting, "Five. Four." They both stopped to look at me, "Three. Two." They sat down. "Take a deep breath and explain to me the issue."
