The Categories
Lyrics: The pacing, vocals, and the high note if there is one.

Substance: The song's ability to hold your attention, properly express its message or tell its story, the message/story itself, and the song's tendency to repeat itself.

Beat: Is it bloated? Do all the elements blend together?

Originality: Whether or not you can tell it apart from other songs of a similar theme, as well as how likely it is that you'll remember it.

Enjoyment: Is the song fun to listen to? Just because it's awful doesn't mean you can't enjoy it.

The Grading System
Every star in one of the categories is worth one-fifth (.2) of a star for the final or overall score. This means a perfect score in any category will result in one complete star in the final score. Videos do not affect the final score.

1. Why Don't We Just- 2.4/5
Lyrics: 2/5
Notes
The vocal effects are boring, but I like Zach's little parts during the dubstep portions. The way they drag out every verse isn't as annoying as it could be

Substance: 1/5
Notes
There are very few lyrics in this song, it has one verse that's sang twice. The slow pacing and long pre-chorus, chorus, and post-chorus are the sole reason this thing is 3 minutes. And because of that, it gets boring, the beat does a half-way decent job at adding that flare the lyrics are missing, but it can't make up for it completely. The song is contradictory. It talks about how they've been missing phone calls and yet the other person is still all they think about?

Beat: 4/5
Notes
It sounds like the beat to a club song, it fits the idea of just letting go and enjoying yourself

Originality: 1/5
Notes
It's another song about just letting go and living in the moment. Live While We're Young and Kiss You will always pop into my head first when it comes to this message, and they both did it better

Enjoyment: 4/5
Notes
It's punchy and easy to sway along too

2. All My Love- 2.4/5
Lyrics: 2/5
Notes
It's hard to understand what they're saying sometimes because of the weird vocal effects, besides that they're fine. The pacing is fun and flows despite all the variation

Substance: 2/5
Notes
That final chorus with just Zach was completely unnecessary. There isn't much in terms of new lyrics, but the alterations made in the second to last chorus are really nice. The message is fine and so is the song as a whole, just really okay

Beat: 3/5
Notes
It reminds me of someone trying to serenade their love interest with a guitar, but like a remix of it. I don't know if that makes any sense, but that's what it feels like

Originality: 1/5
Notes
The idea of "you own me" is one of the most common among love songs. Though its more often a background thing or at least not quite as obvious as it is here, but common nonetheless. From A Thousand Years to Someone You Loved to Be Alright

Enjoyment: 4/5
Notes
The beat and vocals are fun. So is that second to last chorus with Zach and Corbyn, the glitches to his voice are surprisingly enjoyable

3. I Depend On You- 1.6/5
Lyrics: 1/5
Notes
The vocal effects and pacing are pretty standard. There isn't much else to say really
