Sumarry: If Daniel wants snow, they'll he'll get snow
Corbyn's POV
" It's not fair," Daniel whined quietly, pouting down at his phone screen.
" What isn't, love?" I hummed, glancing over to him.
" This," shoving the device in my face," everyone else is getting snow for Christmas except us. It's not fair!"
I laughed, holding his wrist and moving back to look properly at the screen.
On his phone was a video of a raging snowstorm. Flurries of blurry white wiping back and forth with the wind as it tugged violently at the bare branches of sleeping trees.
" That's a blizzard, Dan," I corrected easily, causing the younger to look at it again with a tilted head.
" What's the difference?" Those big eyes staring back up at me.
" What's the difference between when it drizzles and when it storms?" I countered.
" Oh," he breathed, mouth a small o shape.
I chuckled, going back to my book for school," oh," I mocked gently.
" Bean, I mean it," he complained, worming his way into my lap," it isn't fair. Why doesn't it ever snow here?"
I sighed, slipping my bookmark inside," it's too hot for that, baby."
He huffed, laying his head on my chest," I hate it here," he muttered, drawing another laugh from me.
" Liar," I purred, slipping my hands beneath my little brother's shirt.
He yelped, jumping away from me," no! Cold!"
I fell back, laughing harder," I thought you hated the heat?" I giggled, grinning at him.
His pout deepened, crossing his arms over his chest.
" Aww, don't be like that," I cooed, picking up the 7 year old," you know I was only teasing ya'," nuzzling my face into his neck.
I dragged my tongue over my lips, breathing out a low, cold sigh, letting the moisture freeze over before covering his skin in frozen kisses.
Despite his best efforts the little one just couldn't keep his bellowing laughter at bay. His entire, tiny body shaking with his mirth.
" Okay! Okay! I forgive you! I forgive you!" He cried, pressing his hands against my chest.
I fell back against the couch, letting him flop atop of me.
He had handfuls of my shirt, face nuzzled away into my throat.
" You don't play fair," he giggled, peeking up at me.
I hummed, petting at his soft down hair," and how's that?"
" You're cold. I can't make my kisses that cold," puckering his lips and blushing hard when I kissed them.
" All's fair in love and war. I told you that already," brushing my nose against his.
" Theeeennn... let's not make it a war, yeah? Then you'd be cheating," he grinned, looking proud of himself.
I laughed, smiling up at the ceiling," why would I agree to that?"
~ Early Christmas Morning ~
I looked around the basement with a yawn, rubbing at my eye.
" I can make this work," I mused sleepily, rising my hand.
I spread my fingers with a sigh. A small flurry of sparkling snowflakes drifting into the air.
I guided the small cluster to my fingertips, twirling my index in a lazy circle before throwing my arm out to the side and shooting the flurry to the wall.
It exploded the very moment it came into contact with it, splattering snow.
I grinned, bringing my hands together in front of my chest," yeah, I can make this work."
~ An Hour And A Half Later ~
" Dan," I whispered, gently taking the sleeping boy into my arms.
He whined, squirming closer despite the hands pushing me away," cold," he muttered.
I laughed, leaning down to kiss at his nose, lingering until my frost spread to him.
He blinked his eyes open slowly, rubbing at it," Bean? What are you doing? Is it Christmas?"
I softened, pressing my forehead to his," yeah. And I have a special gift for you."
His tired eyes lit up," really?"
" Really."
I walked out of his room and down the stairs, stopping by the closet to grab his hoodie and rain boots.
" Put this on and close your eyes," sitting him down and pressing it to his chest.
He pulled it over his eyes, before kneeling to pull on his shoes, covering his eyes after.
I carried him down to the basement, smiling at the little shudder he gave as the temperature dropped.
I put him down, pressing my lips to his ear," on three. Okay?"
He nodded.
" One," hugging at his little waste," two," leaving a sweet kiss behind his ear.
" Three," he whispered, moving his hands away.
He gasped, hands dropping at his side and mouth hanging open.
" W-wha... Corbyn wha... what is..."
I couldn't help a little giggle, pulling his closer to my chest.
" There's snow," reached his hand out to touch nothing," but how?"
" I'm gonna tell you a secret," squeezing at him," can you keep my secret?"
He nodded, still seeming a little dazed.
I put both of my hands in front of him, rolling them around each other, forming a snowball.
" You're like the elementals in my show," he gasped, flinching when he reached out and touched the frozen ball," how?"
" I don't know," I shrugged honestly, laying my head on his shoulder," I was born this way."
I threw it up into the air. His eyes following as it exploded above us, showering the flabbergasted boy in snowflakes.
He turned in my arms, eyes glistening with wonder.
" You're amazing," he grinned at me, cheeks red from the chill.
I was shocked at the warm flush spreading through my cheeks.
I ran my fingers through his hair, freezing the brown strands in place as I did.
" Thank you, Baby boy," I whispered," I was only giving you what you wanted."
" Then you're even better than amazing. You're," he gasped suddenly, grabbing at my flushed cheeks," you're like Santa, but even greater! Santa's never actually given me snow before, but you did! You're the best, Bean!"
To say he was glowing would be an understatement. His pale face flushed and ocean-blue shimmering in a way that left me a little speechless.
He was perfect.
Daniel was perfect.
" I love you," he purred, nuzzling my neck," I love you, Corbyn."
I nuzzled into his cold, frostbitten hair, squeezing tight at my baby.
" I love you more, little one," I promised, pulling back and tilting his head up with my index," now, I spent all morning making this for you. How about we enjoy it yeah? Before Mom and Dad wake up?"
He leaned into my touch, nodding eagerly.
" Can we make snow angels first?"
Anything you want.
" Of course, baby."
