Summary: Jack's village always decorates a huge Christmas tree in the center of town. He isn't ready to leave yet, but he does wanna see it

Zach's POV
I was on my back, letting the kid scratch at my belly, tail wagging hard at the feeling.

He flopped on top of me giggling and I rumbled, rolling over to bite playfully at the human pup, making him squeal.

He had been with us for a week now, warming up and regaining his strength.

He was a lot of fun to have around. Corbyn, Jonah, and Daniel didn't really play with me as much as they used too.

I jumped up when he did, chasing him around the den. I barked when he stopped, lowering down with my rump in the air.

He copied me, laughs wheezing from how out of breath he was. I barked again and so did he.

I tilted my head at him, tongue hanging out of my mouth.

Then he laid on his stomach and I followed, crawling over.

" Where's everybody else, Coco?"

I huffed in return, having grown used to the name he gave me the second day he was with us. He had given us all names.

I thought it was cute.

" You don't know either, huh?"

I do, but I won't tell.

" You wanna know something cool?"

I howled softly, wagging my tail at him.

He grinned," I knew you would! My village has this huge pine tree that grew in the middle of all our houses. And every Christmas we all get together and decorate it. Dad says it's been there even longer than him and my Dad is suuuuper old."

His grin faltered a little after that and I whined, nudging at him with my nose.

" I'm okay, really. I just wish I could see this year, but... but I don't really wanna leave you guys yet. I like being here, its fun."

He ran his fingers through my neck fur, smile sad," but it's okay. I'll just see it next year."

I flattened my ears, whimpering.

I turned at the sound of footsteps, sniffing at the air before my tail began to wag subconsciously.

" Are they back?" Jack wondered, grinning once more.

Daniel came trotting in first, stopping at his side to sniff and prod at the little one.

" I'm fine," he whined, giggling when he pressed his nose against his throat.

Corbyn came over to me, barely sparring the kid a glance.

I stood to meet him, nuzzling into his throat, I had always been the most attached to him.

Jonah wasn't far, watching us interact.

I barked to him.
