When The Coffee Hits

Andy waits for Remington to fall asleep before heading to the local coffee shop that he fell in love with months ago. He sees Kamiatra behind the counter and smiles. "You always here late?"

"Well honey, I own this shop with my parents. I'm usually up studying anyways so might as well work too!"

She hands Andy a cappuccino and smiles. "What has you in here so late anyways? Didn't you say you were getting married?"

Andy smiles back and takes a sip. "We just got back from our honeymoon. Everything was amazing. But I received some bad news tonight and it is causing trouble with our careers and life in general. The guy that hurt Remi is coming along with us on tour and I can't do shit about it or they are going to drop my band." 

Kamiatra frowns, "Well that's a crock of shit. How's Remington taking it?"

"He is faking it hard core that he is fine. But Mia, this guy has beat, drug, and raped him. There's no fucking way he will be fine. It took him so long to recover. I don't know what to do. And how the hell am I supposed to handle being around him without causing a fight?"

"Well...I support you beating his face in. But keep your hubby safe. He is going to be scared whether he admits it or not."

Andy's phone starts vibrating. "Shit Remington's calling hold on. Hey baby, what are you doing up?"

Remington replies, "It's 9 at night. Where did you go?"

"I couldn't sleep baby. I'm out getting coffee at that cute little shop. I just was really worked up and didn't want to take it out on you."

"Oh, okay babe. But are you okay?"

"I'm trying to be baby. Are you okay?"

"I miss you."

"Did you have a nightmare?"

"Y..yeah. It was more like a memory of, you know."

"Oh baby. It's going to be okay. Just deep breaths."

"Do you think everything is going to be okay Ands? On tour I mean."

"I...I don't know love. But you know I'll be there with you protecting you from everything."

"Hey, did you bring your wallet?"

Andy laughs, "Yeah baby. What do you need?" He sees Remington enter the coffee shop wearing his gray joggers and a black tight v neck tee. Andy laughs and smiles. I can never get away from him. 

Remington yawns and sits across from Andy, "Because I forgot mine and I really want some hot chocolate."

"Coming right up hot stuff, this one is on the house," Kamiatra winks at him, making Remington blush. Andy chuckles at his embarrassed lover. "Fuck, I thought I was the only one who can make you blush," he whispers so only Remington can hear him. 

"Fuck off," Remington mouths to him, making them both laugh out loud. Andy grabs his lover's hand from across the table and smiles. 

"I'm stressed to all hell about this. But I need a new label. This shouldn't be forced on us."

"I'm going to be fine darling. I have to be." 

Andy frowns but they both look up when Kamiatra places the hot chocolate in front of Remington. 

"I remember when I saw you two for the first time. Remington I swore I was going to take you home the next time I saw you."

Remington chokes and laughs out loud, trying to hide his blushing face. "What made you not then? Now I got to know."

Kamiatra smiles and takes a sip from her iced latte, "You said you had just broken up with your boo. I didn't want to scare you too soon. Then shortly later Mr. Thang came over and showed me a picture of you. I was like damn, he doesn't play for my team. But now I at least get to see Andy every week for my updates and pictures of you." 

Andy chuckles and loves seeing his darling husband embarrassed. Remington never knows how to react in these type of situations even when it's with fans. Andy knows Mia is harmless and is poking fun. 

"I don't like either of you," Remington laughs and takes a sip of his drink, getting a whipped cream mustache. Andy leans over and licks it off, making Remington bite his bottom lip.
