"So...what's up with you? Tell me about yourself..." Hunter says before he puts a lid on a latte he made and calls the name of the customer who ordered it.

So far everything is going pretty good. You haven't screwed up anything and Hunter has been really nice. Right now, you're just doing some of the basic stuff like working the register since it's only your first day.

"What do you want to know?" You ask with a smile.

"Just the basic stuff," he replies.

"Okay...well you already know that my name is Payden. I'm 19 but I'll be 20 soon. I like coffee, country music, and a lot of other music," you chuckle. "I just moved here and I needed a job so this will work for now."

"Do you know what you want to do after you're done working here?" He asks. "Well...I would love to play music professionally," you say.

"You're kidding!" He says, his eyes wide and a smile on his face. "I've wanted to do that for a while now!"

"Really?" You ask. "Yeah! I mean I have people who support me and stuff like that but I never really pursued it. After a while, I kinda gave up..." he says.

"Well Hunter, I'm sure that you're very good at playing music and I think you should pursue it," you say with a smile.

"Thank you," he says, smiling back at you.

You both stare at each other and you finally look away when you realize that you've been staring at him for too long.

"So um...tell me about yourself. What do you like?" You say. "Well...I'm 21. I like coffee as well, obviously," he chuckles. "I'm also a music geek. And I love cars...a lot. And I also love watching Top Gear. And there's a million other things I love too but I don't want to talk your ear off."

"I don't mind," you say with a smile.

He smiles back at you and for the rest of the day, he talks to you and tells you what he likes and you talk about some of your other interests besides music and coffee, while working of course.

Before you and Hunter got off work around 10:00pm, he made you a latte and then both of you walked to where you parked your cars together.

He didn't really say anything about hanging out or getting your phone number, probably because you haven't even known each other for long. At all. But you hope that he'll say something eventually. So far you really like him.

After you say goodbye, you get in your car and head home.
