You sit there in Starbucks, taking a sip of your Chestnut Praline Latte and waiting for your boyfriend--well, ex boyfriend Hunter to arrive. Recently, you broke up with Hunter because you feel like he's just too busy for a relationship. Well, you broke up with him several times. It's just on and off. You love Hunter and you want to be with him, but you just don't know if he's ready to give his all in a relationship.
About a few minutes later, Hunter comes in and gets in line to order his drink. You have to try your best not to stare at him, because lets face the facts. He looks REALLY good.
"Hey (Y/N)," he says as he walks over to the table your sitting at and sits across from you. "Hi Hunter," you reply, giving him a polite smile. "So...what's going on?" He asks. "Well...I know that we're not dating anymore, but I was wondering if you'd be okay just being friends..." you say. Of course you don't want to be friends with Hunter. You would rather be in a relationship with him, but its better to just be friends for now.
"Just friends?" He repeats. You nod slowly. He stays quiet for a while, like he's trying to figure out how he wants to respond to that. "Hello?" You say. "I guess that that's fine. What are we doing?" He says. He doesn't sound too happy.
"Well...I was hoping that maybe we could go to the movies," you say. "(Y/N), wouldn't that be considered a date?" He asks. "No. Hunter, friends go to movies together all the time..." you reply. He nods. "What do you want to go see?"
"I really want to go see Into The Woods. I heard it was a good movie," you say. "Okay. Well, I guess that I'll drive..." he says with a small smile.
