You unlock the door to your house, carrying a bag of groceries. Before you left the house, Hunter and the kids were hanging in the studio and the house was a mess. You kindly asked Hunter and the kids to clean up the house while you were gone, so hopefully they listened and you don't have anything to worry about.

When you get the door opened, you're frustrated when you see that the house looks the same way that it looked before you left. There's blankets on the couch, fruit snacks on the floor, along with the kid's toys, a stain on the wall, and dishes in the sink. You sigh and walk into the kitchen, sitting the bag of groceries on a clean spot on the kitchen counter. You start to make your way to the studio, but you accidentally step on a Lego block and scream out in pain as you grab your foot. "HUNTER!"

You walk back into the kitchen and sit on one of the bar stools as you hear footsteps down the hallway. Hunter comes around the corner and runs to you, his eyes full of concern.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"Hunter, what happened to cleaning up the house?" You ask, the frustration evident in your voice.

"Uh...we got distracted in the studio and forgot..." he says softly.

"Hunt, come on..." you say, giving him a stern look. "I know you love being in the studio, and so do the kids, and I respect that. But you can't forget to clean up, and they can't either. Everyone has to help clean up the house," you say.

"You're right. Tell you what..." he reaches into his back pocket and pulls out his wallet, placing it in one of your hands. "Go out and do something fun and me and the kids will have everything taken care of when you get back."

"Do something fun?" You ask.

"Yeah! Go get a pedicure or something! Just give us like two hours!" He says.

"Ugh, Hunter-"

"No complaints!" He places his hands on your knees and leans forward, pressing his soft lips to yours.

"Alright...two hours," you laugh.

You jump up and walk towards the door as Hunter calls the kids to the kitchen. Hopefully everything will be done within the next two hours.

..............

It was pretty weird having some time to yourself since you're used to doing most of your activities with Hunter and the kids, but you managed to kill the two hours by running a few errands and getting a pedicure like Hunter suggested.

You sigh as you open the front door once again. Maybe everything will be done this time.

As soon as you enter the house, you're ecstatic to see that the house is immaculate. Everything is cleaned up, and the house smells amazing. There's even dinner on the stove.

"Hunter?" You call, but there's no response. You walk down the hallway and peek into his studio, but there's no one in there, not even the kids. You continue walking down the hallway until your hear the sound of what sounds like Hunter's voice.

You peek into the kids room, and see a blanket fort that wasn't there before. You smile to yourself as you stand in the doorway, listening to Hunter read a Dr. Seuss book to the kids and thinking about what a good dad he is, what a wonderful husband he is.

After a few minutes, Hunter finishes the book and crawls out of the blanket fort, looking tired, but happy.

"Hey!" He says softly when his eyes meet yours.

He stands up and closes the door behind him as you both exit the room. "They're knocked out in there..."

You don't know what to say, so you just wrap your arms around him and bury your face into the side of his neck. "Thank you so much, Hunter..."

"You're the one I should be thanking..." he says.

"Why?" You ask.

"Because you make me a better person. Every time I mess up and you correct me, it makes me a better person, and...I appreciate that, more than you'll ever know. I just want to make sure that you and the kids are happy, that I'm the husband you always dreamed of having and I'm the dad that they want me to be..."

"Hunter..." you say softly, lifting your head so your watery eyes meet his again. You place your hand on the side of his face and caress his cheek. "You are everything we need and more..."

"I just want to make sure, you know? Especially with baby number three on the way..." he says.

"Well, there's no need to doubt yourself. Me and the kids absolutely adore you," you say.

"And I adore you," he says, placing a soft kiss on your forehead. "By the way, I made dinner. Did you want me to fix you something now?"

"No, Hunter. I-"

"Too bad. I got this," he says, letting go of you and dashing into the kitchen.

You chuckle and follow him into the kitchen, taking a seat on one of the bar stools.

"What do you want to drink?" He asks as he fixes your plate of spaghetti.

"Water is fine," you reply.

He nods, and grabs a bottle of water out of the fridge for you. After he grabs your plate of food again, he heads down the hallway.

"What are you doing?" You ask.

"Come on. Turn out the kitchen light too," he says, gesturing for you to follow him.

You do as he says and turn out the light. You follow him down the hallway, to your bedroom.

"You can eat in here and we can watch a movie," he says.

"What about you?" You ask.

"I ate with the kids," he says, sitting the plate on your nightstand and patting your side of the bed.

You smile and get comfortable on your side of the bed, and Hunter hands your plate of spaghetti to you.

"Thank you," you say.

"You're welcome," he grins and turns on the TV, setting up a movie. As the previews play, he runs into his walk in closet, changing into a pair of sweatpants and taking his shirt off.

"What movie is this?" You ask.

"The First Time!" He says. He exits the closet and presses play on the DVD player before he turns out the lights in the room.

You pat the empty space next to you, and he lays down on his side of the bed, getting comfortable under the blankets and leaning close to your side. You start to eat your spaghetti and watch the movie, and when you finish, you sit your plate on your nightstand.

You look down at Hunter, who has his eyes closed. You run one of your hands through his hair, and his eyes flutter open.

"Tired?" You ask.

"No..." he says softly.

"You were just sleeping!" You laugh.

"Okay, maybe. But it's everyone's bedtime now! Including you and Hayes number three," he chuckles and grabs the TV remote off of his nightstand, turning off the TV.

The room goes completely dark, and you lay down on your side. Hunter takes the blankets and covers your arms enough so you're not cold, and then he wraps his arms around you, his hands on your small baby bump.

"Comfortable?" He asks, placing a soft kiss on the side of your neck.

"Very," you reply, letting out a giggle.

"Good," he says.

A few seconds go by, and silence fills the air. You're halfway asleep until your hear Hunter calling your name.

"Hey Dani..." he says softly.

"Yes, Hunter?" You reply.

"I love you..." he says.

You take one of his hands and interlace your fingers with his. "I love you too Hunter..."
