You wipe your lips several times as you begin driving back home, wishing that you could just get the taste of Adam's lips off of yours. You still wish that you didn't have to kiss him. Not only was it extremely uncomfortable and he was kinda forceful, but how are you supposed to explain this to Hunter? Sure he's worked with other girls before, but this is different. Hunter has only kissed one girl and that was for the I Want Crazy music video; and besides, you weren't even with him at that time. And truthfully, this kiss had to be "more passionate because it was a goodbye kiss." That's what Kristen told you.

As you come to a stoplight, you jump as you hear the ringtone to your phone going off. You're hoping that it's not Hunter, but as you reach into your purse and pull out your lit up device, you see his name and a recent picture that you two took together that you set up as his contact photo.

You sigh and answer his call, putting him on speaker. You certainly can't ignore him. "Hello Hunter..."

"How's my beautiful superstar?" He asks, sounding extremely enthusiastic. His tone almost brings a smile to your face, but its not enough to take away your mind away from the music video and what just happened.

"I'm okay, Hunter. Thanks for asking. How are you?" You reply.

"I'm great, but I'll be better once I see you. I missed you," he says.

"I missed you too," you say.

"How'd it go with your music video?" He asks. The question brings a guilty feeling and you don't know why. It's not like you cheated on him or anything, but you know Hunter isn't okay with other guys being too close to you, even if its just acting for a music video.

"It was fine," you say simply.

"Just fine? You---"

"How was your day? Everything okay in the studio?" You ask quickly, hating the fact that you had to cut him off but you really don't want to talk about the music video right now.

"Oh yeah, it was great! I'll tell you more about it when you get home. I got some gumbo from mom so we don't have to worry about making dinner," he chuckles.

"That's good," you say.

There's no conversation for a few seconds before Hunter finally speaks up again. "Are you sure you're okay?"

You want to tell him no, but that'll just lead to the conversation about the music video and you're just not in the mood for it. Kristen already ruined your day and this could just lead to an argument with Hunter.

"Stop worrying, Hunter. I'm fine, I promise," you say, trying to sound firm.

"Well, I don't believe you. I'll run you a bath and we can just talk about it later. How's that sound?" He says. He sounds so sweet, you hate to seem as if you're pushing him away.

"Hunter, you don't have to---"

Mal, it's okay. I'm your husband and I want to. You can't fight me on this..." he says.

"O-okay..." you say.

"So I'll see you in a few minutes. Love you," he says.

"Love you too, Hunter..." you say, before hanging up.

Not too long after the phone call conversation, you're back at home. As soon as you unlock the door, Cole jumps up and greets you and you pet him briefly before Hunter comes into sight, appearing happy to see you but also concerned.

Before you can move, he's right in front of you with his arms wrapped around your waist. You sigh as you rest your head against his toned chest and breathe in his scent. He smells like he just took a shower not too long ago.

"Are you hungry?" He asks, slightly pulling away but keeping his hands on your waist.

"Not really..." you reply.

"Did you want to take your bath first? Maybe we can eat afterwards and then talk about what's wrong..." he says.

"Yeah, I'll just go ahead and take a bath..." you say, walking away from him without a second word.

The water for the bath is hot, but not too hot. You spend some time just sitting in the tub, thinking about how you could explain the situation. It may seem easy, but you're just worried about Hunter's reaction. Will he be understanding or will he be upset? Since you've been with him for a while, it seems kinda ridiculous that you're afraid to tell him.

When you get tired of being in the tub and pondering over your thoughts, you get out and dry off, changing into a tank top and a pair of pajama pants that Hunter laid next to the bathroom sink for you.

Since it's been an exhausting day, you decide to get comfortable in your bed. It's too early to go to bed, so you turn on the TV and browse the channels, trying to find something decent to watch.

A few minutes later, Hunter comes into the room holding two glasses of red wine. He comes to the side of your bed and hands one glass to you before he goes to his side of the bed and lies next to you, still holding his glass.

"Thanks," you mumble, sitting your glass on the nightstand on your side.

"No problem." He says, before taking a sip of his wine.

You keep your eyes on the TV, but somehow you still feel that his gaze is on you.

"Did you eat?" He asks.

"No. I'm not hungry," you reply.

"Well, you have to eat something, Mal..." he says softly.

"I'll eat later, Hunter," you say, hoping that he'll just leave you alone.

"Okay Mal." He briefly shifts and sits his wine on his nightstand before he turns back to face you.

He hovers over you and looks into your eyes, taking all of your attention away from the TV. You're starting to get slightly annoyed, even though he's just concerned.

"Be honest with me. Are you okay?" He says.

"I'm fine," you reply.

"Still don't believe you. Are you on your---"

"Hunter, no! Why would you even ask that?" You cut him off and sit up quickly.

"I don't know! You just seem kinda moody and distant suddenly and I'm trying to figure out what's wrong!" He says, sitting up and keeping his eyes on you.

"Okay, well it's not that. That was dumb, Hunter," you say, your annoyance evident.

"Alright, well I'm sorry for being a concerned husband!" he says, throwing his hands up and laying back onto his pillow again.

"Hunter, I'm sorry. I just---"

"Save it, Mal. I'm done for the night," he says, turning so his back faces you.

Great. Now he's upset and this is definitely not a good time to bring up what happened earlier. What are you supposed to do now?
