You wake up feeling like crap. Not just because of how things went last night, but also because you didn't get any sleep. You spent the whole night thinking about what Hunter said to you. His words hurt your feelings, but everything he said was true. You're always giving up on your relationship with him when something doesn't go the way you want it to. You need to make changes, and most importantly, you need to apologize to him.
You jump out of bed and start getting ready. You take a shower, put your hair in a ponytail, and throw on some lounge around the house clothes. Well, they're actually Hunter's clothes that he left over here a few times. You looked in the guest bedroom to see if Hunter was in there, but he wasn't.
You go downstairs and start looking for Hunter and you find him in your laundry room. He's shirtless but he's wearing jeans and he has his back turned. "Um hi..." you say when you see him. He doesn't even turn to look at you, he just puts his clothes from yesterday in the washer and grabs one of his shirts out of the dryer. "Hi."
"How are you?" You ask. "I could be better..." he says, putting his shirt on and walking out of the laundry room. He tries to walk past you but you grab his arm and stop him, even though you know he doesn't like it when you do that. "Hunter, we need to talk."
"(Y/N), I'm tired..." he replies. "Hunter, please. Can we just talk about what happened last night?" You plead. He takes a deep breath before he turns and looks at you. You can tell by how red his eyes are that he's been crying and he didn't get any sleep last night. "I'm sorry," you say.
"Sorry for what?" He asks. "For everything. I'm sorry for being confused. I'm sorry for being impatient with you. I'm sorry for giving up on us over and over again. I love you and I don't want to be just friends. I want to be in a relationship with you and I want to make the changes that are necessary so that we can make this work," you say.
He doesn't say anything in response. You don't know if he's surprised that you apologized or if he's trying to figure out what he wants to say or if he wants to forgive you or not.
"Hunter, if you don't forgive me then I totally get it. You deserve a girl who won't take you through all of this. You deserve something better," you say, your voice cracking and your eyes filled with tears.
He wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you close, giving you a long passionate kiss. Without hesitation, you wrap your arms around his neck and kiss him back.
When he pulls away from the kiss, he picks you up and you wrap your legs around his waist. "There is absolutely no one out there who is better than you," he says with a smile. A few tears stream down his cheek and you kiss them away. "Listen, I know that sometimes our relationship can be a challenge. We both have different careers, you're busy and I'm busy, and we have different flaws and bad habits...but I promise that I'm going to love you through it all. I'm always going to love you. You are my everything, and I'm always going to try my best to make it work even when times get tough because that's what love is all about. Forgiving and never giving up. (Y/F/N), I'm going to say this again. I freaking love you."
