When the minister started talking, you weren't really paying attention, even though you probably should've. You were so distracted by Hunter. He looks so amazing today. Well, he always does.
Maybe everything about him just seems more perfect because you're starting to look at him differently. Before, he was your boyfriend. Now, he is about to become your husband, someone you will spend the rest of your life with. You have so much love and respect for him.
You were so lost in your thoughts and Hunter's beautiful eyes that you didn't hear the minister calling your names.
You snap back into reality and turn your attention to the minister. "I'm sorry. What were you saying?"
"Would one of you like to say your vows first?" He asks.
"Oh! Um...yeah I guess I'll go first," you say with a shy smile.
You and Hunter decided not to write down your vows because you wanted to say what was on your heart at that moment, when you were standing at the altar together. Now, you're starting to regret not writing anything down. You have an idea of what you want to say, but let's face the facts. You're not really good with words.
"Okay...I um...I'm not really good with words so I'm afraid of saying something really cheesy," you say, laughing and looking at Hunter.
You can tell that he doesn't really care if you sound cheesy or not. He knows you're not always good with words and neither is he, and as long as you mean what you say, that's all that matters.
"Hunter, about two years ago, I was just your best friend and we were living in two different states, talking to each other all the time and going on and on about the things we love. But I never thought that we would be standing right here. Well, I mean I might've joked around or said something about how perfect you are and how I wanted to marry you. But I had a huge crush on you at that time so I said a lot of crazy things," you say, making him laugh. "But the truth is, you are still my crush, you are still perfect to me, and everyday I'm always running around like I've lost my mind and I'm sure that everyone can tell that I'm crazy about you. For two years, you always made time for me somehow, and you always made me feel special. Even when we were so busy and barely had time for each other, you were still there and there's never been a day where I felt like you didn't enjoy being with me. I absolutely love you. And, I know that as you continue to make your dream of becoming a musician come true, we may not be able to see each other all the time and things might get kinda hectic. But I promise you that no matter what happens, I will always support you and your beautiful dreams. I love you Hunt."
"And Hunter?" The minister says, looking at Hunter.
After taking a deep breath, he smiles and looks into your eyes. You know he's a little nervous about saying his vows.
"Jaidyn, I love everything about you. I love your fun personality, your kind heart, the fact that you're beautiful inside and out. And most of all, I love the way you make me feel. Whenever I'm with you, I just feel like I'm having the time of my life. It doesn't matter if we're sightseeing or just having a late night conversation and I have my arms wrapped around you. I'm just happy whenever I'm with you. At one point, I just felt like music was my only friend. But when you came into my life...I didn't feel like that anymore. You've always been there for me, supporting my dreams and listening to everything I have to say and I just want to make sure that you're taken care of for the rest of your life. I promise that I will always try my best to make you feel loved, I will support whatever dream you have, and taking care of you will always be my priority. I love you Jaidyn," he says, tears welling up in his eyes.
After you exchange rings, the minister asks you the big question.
"(Y/F/N), do you take Hunter Easton Hayes as your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do!" You reply with confidence and a smile.
"And Hunter..." he says, turning to look at him. "Do you take (Y/F/N) as your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do," he replies.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride!" The minister says.
Hunter doesn't hesitate to wrap his arms around you and give you a long, heartfelt kiss. You wrap your arms around him and kiss him back with all the love and passion you've built up for him in the past few years.
When he pulls away, he holds you close to him and looks in your eyes. "I can't believe that that just happened."
"Me either," you say.
Before you know it, you're both laughing and crying at the same time.
Author's note: Okay so this part was a little bit tricky for me. I have not been to a wedding in a LONG time so I kinda forgot how weddings go and I had trouble writing the vows haha. So, if I messed something up, I'm sorry! But hopefully y'all liked this part of the imagine! Love y'all!
