So...you and Hunter have been friends for a few months now. Whenever you're at work, you talk each other's ears off, and then you hang out after you're done working.
Some people may feel like it takes years to really get to know a person, but Hunter is so sweet and down to earth, you feel like you've known him forever even though you've only known him for a few months.
Right now, you're hanging out with Hunter at your house and he's teaching you how to play some chords on the guitar. And talking to you of course.
"So what happened the other day? You said your ex girlfriend showed up to your house or something like that?" You ask. "Yeah she showed up to my house and started apologizing about treating me like crap but I didn't want to hear it. Somehow she's knows that we've been hanging out and I think she's jealous because she knows that you're one of my girl friends," he replies.
"Wow that's crazy," you say.
You try to play a chord that he just demonstrated for you a few minutes ago, but you still can't get it right.
"No not like that," he says, shaking his head.
He scoots closer to you and carefully wraps his arms around you, placing his hands on top of yours and showing you how to play the chord correctly. You can tell that he feels slightly awkward.
You get so distracted by his arms and the smell of his cologne that eventually you're not even paying attention, you're just staring at him.
"So yeah you just have to---are you okay?" He says, looking at you.
"Yeah I'm fine. I just enjoy having you here," you say.
"I enjoy being here," he says, that adorable half smirk on his face.
You lean forward and kiss him on the cheek, and almost instantly his face turns red.
"Hey listen...I like you," you say. You're shocked that you were willing to just come out and say it.
"You are the only girl that has actually said that to me before I could say anything to her..." he says with a smile.
"Well I don't know why they didn't say anything. You're a very likeable person," you say.
"Hey can I tell you something?" He asks.
"Sure," you reply.
You sit your guitar on the floor and give him your undivided attention.
"I like you too," he says. "And I would be honored if you would come to Italy with me this month..."
That last part shocked you. Holy crap. You remember that he asked you where would you like to go someday, but you didn't really think much of that question.
"Hunter...how did you---when did you get the tickets? How long have you had this planned out?" You ask. "For a few months now. I just got the airplane tickets last month though. I booked our hotel rooms too. We can also do some sightseeing and go to a few restaurant's if you want to," he replies.
You're so shocked, you don't say anything.
Hunter gets a look of concern in his eyes, and you know that he's probably worried that you'll say no. But you want to go to Italy with him.
He softly grabs one of your hands and holds it in his own, then he looks into your eyes.
"Payden...will you please go with me?" He asks.
"Of course I'll go with you!" You reply, tears welling up in your eyes.
You pull him into a hug and bury your face into the side of his neck. You can tell that he's a little shocked by your reaction.
He wraps his arms around you and you just enjoy this moment. You can't believe that he actually did that for you.
"Thank you Hunter," you whisper as tears stream down your cheek and fall onto his neck.
