Imagine:
Today was just one of those days where you didn't really have to do anything, so you just decided to get out of the house, make a few runs, and here you are now. Reading your favorite Percy Jackson book and chilling outside of your local Starbucks during the afternoon. You prop your feet up on the chair that's in front of you, and take a sip of your caramel frappucino. After reading the last few pages, you start to get up and grab your things. Then that's when you notice him. Hunter Hayes. You've never actually talked to him before, but a lot of people at your school say that he's a really sweet, down to earth kind of guy. And he's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. You'd love to talk to him, but everytime you see him, you get nervous and start avoiding him. When you make eye contact with him, he stops where he is and smiles and waves at you. You wave back, with a shy smile on your face, hoping that he'll come over and talk to you. But he just keeps smiling and goes into the flower shop right next to the Starbucks. "Shoot," you say to yourself. You groan and pick up your Percy Jackson book from off the table and start walking to the nearby Barnes and Noble. As soon as you get into the bookstore, you start looking for some new books to read. You're ALWAYS constantly looking for something good to read and it doesn't take you long to finish a book. You practically live here. While you're walking around the bookstore and looking through shelves, the only thing you can really think about is Hunter. All you want to do is talk to him, but you can never do that. By the time you talk to him, he might have a girlfriend. Heck he might even have a girlfriend right now. Who else would he buy flowers for? You sigh and pick up one of the Mortal Instruments books and start flipping through the pages. "Hey," you hear someone say. You turn around and see Hunter standing behind you with flowers in his hand. His hair and his clothes are drenched in water, yet he still approaches you with a nervous smile on his face.
"Okay so...I know that this is kinda weird. I'm drenched in water, I have flowers in my hand, and I've never talked to you before. So um...here goes nothing," he begins. He takes a deep breath and smiles nervously. "I got these flowers for you. I've been wanting to ask you out for a long time now. There's been so many times where I wanted to walk up to you and ask you to go out with me, but I just punk out because I'm so dang nervous," he says with a laugh. "But today I really didn't want another day to go by where I didn't ask you out. So, that being said...if you say that you would like to go out with me, I will take you anywhere you want to go and we can do whatever you want to do and I'll treat you like a princess. My princess. So please just say----"
You cut him off by grabbing him by his shirt and putting your lips on his. "Yes," you say after you pull away. "I just have one question."
"What is it?" He asks. "Why are you wet?" You say with a laugh. "It started raining outside!" He says, laughing. His eyes shift to the stack of books you sat on one of the shelves. "Are those all yours?" He asks, shifting his eyes back to you. "Yup! Those are all mine!" You reply. "How about this..." he says. He hands the flowers to you and grabs your stack of books from the shelf. "You hold on to those and I'll buy these for you."
"Hunter, no. You don't have to do that," I say. "Actually I do. You're my princess, remember?" He says as he winks and walks away to purchase the books for you. While you're in the middle of swooning over your new boyfriend, you find a table to sit at. A few minutes later, Hunter walks over to the table with two cups of coffee and the books he purchased for you. You both stay at Barnes and Noble until it starts to get late. Reading books, drinking coffee, and just getting to know each other.
