You wake up to Hunter gently rubbing your arm and calling your name. "Caroline? Are you awake?" He asks. "Somewhat," you reply. "Okay princess, I have to take you home now," he says, sounding sad. You groan and turn over to face him and wrap your arms around his waist. "Do I really have to go home?" You ask, though you already know the answer is yes.
"Unfortunately yes," he says as he runs his hands through your hair. "How come I can't just stay here and cuddle with you?" You bury your head into his chest. "By the way you smell really good..."
He laughs. "Thank you. And to answer your question, I have to take you home because I promised your parents that I would drop you off at 11:00 and its past 12:00 in the morning. Come on princess, I don't want you to leave either, but I have to keep my word and take you home. We can do this again another time, I promise," he says, placing a kiss on your head. You groan and sit up. "Okay fine."
Hunter gets up and grabs your shoes for you and helps you put them on, then grabs his shoes and puts them on. "Okay let's get going," he says as he picks you up bridal style and grabs the keys to his truck from off the kitchen counter. After helping you get into the truck, he hops in the driver's seat and y'all start heading back to your house.
A little while later, you and Hunter arrive at your house and he walks you to your front porch. "So Hunt...I really had an amazing time hanging out with you tonight. Thank you so much for everything," you say with a smile. "Oh you're welcome Caroline. I really wish that you could've stayed till the morning though. Then I could've surprised you and made breakfast," he says. You start to get glassy eyes and Hunter looks at you with concern. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine," you say as you wipe away a few tears on your cheek. "You're just so sweet to me."
"Caroline, can I tell you something?" He asks. You nod. "Okay so I know that there are a lot of guys who use girls and play around and they're not serious about relationships at all. But I want you to know that I'm very serious about our relationship. The reason why I'm so sweet is because I believe that taking care of you is a priority. Loving you is a priority. So even if the small things like making you breakfast or cuddling with you on the couch make you happy, that's what I'm going to do. And I'll do anything you want me to do, and I'll say every word you need to hear. Even if its cheesy. Right now you're my princess...but I kinda hope that one day you'll be my queen..." he says. You're speechless. He wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you close. "I love you Caroline."
You wrap your arms around his neck and press your lips to his and he kisses you back. You've kissed Hunter several times, but this was the best kiss so far. "I love you more Hunter Hayes."
