After you and Hunter get to Italy, you head to the hotel and start getting ready for dinner.
You slept for a long time on the plane, so you're not really tired. It's close to 7:00pm, and you have to be at the restaurant around 8:00pm.
You open your suitcase and pull out three of the dresses you brought with you. One is a blue floral dress that you could wear anywhere but it's kinda casual so you just put that one back in your suitcase.
Now you're left with your medium length turquoise dress that's kinda fitting for the occasion, but then there's also your grey and black dress that's around the same length as the turquoise dress. They're both really nice dresses and either one would look good, but for some reason you're really nervous tonight and you just want to look perfect.
"Crap," you whisper to yourself.
You look at the dresses a few more times and just decide to wear the turquoise one. But of course you took forever to put together the whole outfit and you don't have much time to do your hair so now you're just rushing.
You put on some makeup, and while you're in the middle of touching up your curls, someone knocks on your door. It's probably Hunter. You pick up your phone and look at the time. It's 7:49pm. Yeah it's definitely him.
You sigh and walk out of the bathroom and open the door to your hotel room.
You see Hunter standing there wearing a grey suit and black dress shoes. His white dress shirt is slightly unbuttoned and his hair is spiked up. He's also carrying some black jewelry box in his hands.
"You look amazing," you say.
"So do you," he says, blushing and walking into your room.
You shake your head and close the door. "I look crazy..."
"What are you talking about?" He asks.
He opens the box and you see a beautiful silver heart necklace that has some writing engraved on it, but you don't know what it says.
You turn around and lift your hair up so he can put the necklace on for you.
"Well I had a hard time figuring out which dress I wanted to wear, even though I only had three choices, and then I had to rush when I did my makeup and my hair," you reply.
"So what's wrong with that?" He asks.
"I don't look my best," you reply, turning to look at him.
"You do to me..." he says softly. "No Hunter. I look decent. This is just what I look like when I rush and I don't really like how I look like right now," you say.
You turn to go grab your shoes off of your bed, you can't really change how you look since you have to be at the restaurant around 8:00 anyway.
You feel Hunter's hand grab your waist and he turns you around so you can look him in the eyes.
"Why are you being so hard on yourself tonight?" He asks. You can see the concern in his eyes.
"I don't know. I'm just a little nervous and I wanted to look perfect tonight," you reply. "You always look perfect," he says. "Hunter I'm not perfect. I'm---"
Suddenly, he leans forward and his lips are on yours.
He wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you close to him as he kisses you until both of you run out of breath.
"Hunter," you gasp, not knowing what else to say since you're so shocked.
"You. Are. Perfect," he whispers against your lips as he still holds you close.
Tears stream down your cheek and you don't really know what to say.
"I don't care if you're wearing the most beautiful dress in the world or the ugliest dress in the world. Either way, you are perfect to me and I'll always look at you the way I look at you now. And all I want to do tonight is take you out to dinner. Or take you anywhere you want to go," he says.
"Okay," you say.
He wipes away your tears and gives you a short, soft kiss on your lips.
"Okay," he says, chuckling.
"I'm sorry about making us late for dinner..." you say, looking down.
He gently grabs your face and makes you look at him.
"Hey! It's okay. And you're beautiful so I'm sure that they'll make an exception," he says with that smile you love.
