Chapter 15 - Plan

Y/n POV

"YYEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! WHO'S READY FOR SOME HERO TRAINING????!!" screeched Present Mic at y/n and the rest of Class 1A, who were standing outside one of the large U.A training centres, all fully decked out in their hero outfits.

"Yeeaahh!" cheered the more excitable members of the class. 

Y/n stood next to Midoriya, Iida and Uraraka as she eagerly watched Present Mic announce what they would be training today, along with Present Mic stood Aizawa, Midnight and All Might in front of the students. 

Aizawa had apparently said (according to Mina, who wasn't always the most reliable source of information, but everyone had listened to her anyway) that there would be some kind of 'special training' on Friday, today. 

"AAAAALLLLLLL RIGHHHT!!! I know you're all dying to know, so I'll reveal what you'll be doing this afternoon.... TWO VERSUS TWO CAPTURE THE FLAG MATCHES!!!" Present Mic bellowed. The students erupted in excitement, enthusiastically chattering amongst themselves. 

"Students!" yelled Midnight, swishing her whip to get everybody's attention. "Eraserhead will now explain the rules! Listen carefully!" Everyone quickly quietened down.

"Thank you, Midnight." Aizawa sighed, hands in his pockets. He turned himself to face the class directly. "You'll each be paired off with another classmate. Each pair will have their own platformed area, a base, they must protect on their side of the field. Your pair will face off against another pair. Each of you must protect your team's flag, which-"

"EEEXXXCCEEPPTT, instead of having an ordinary, boring flag that stays in one place or can be picked up, ONE person in each pair WILL BE THE FLAG!" interrupted Present Mic in full MC mode. Y/n and the other students gasped in surprise. 

A live flag in capture the flag?

"Thank you, Mic. Now, if I may finish please." grumbled Aizawa with an annoyed expression. "As Present Mic just explained, one of you in each pair will 'be' the flag. This 'flag bearer' of each team must wear their flag-" 

Aizawa paused as he pulled out two small cloths, one coloured in red and one in blue- "visibly on their hero costume. The aim is to capture the other team's flag bearer and bring them to your own team's base, whilst avoiding your own team being 'captured'. The matches have a twelve minute time limit." 

"Wow! I see, this could be seen in a hero context!" exclaimed Midoriya with excitement. "Capturing the other team's flag bearer would be a great exercise to train capturing villains, or rescuing someone, whilst defending yourself and others!" 

Y/n nodded enthusiastically in agreement.

"Yes! You are on the right track, young Midoriya!" beamed All Might, giving Midoriya a thumbs up. Aizawa glared at All Might for a moment and then sighed.

"Moving on, we'll be starting soon. Before you ask, we have already picked your pairs and who you will be versing." Aizawa said flatly. Y/n heard a murmur of excitement ripple between the students. Aizawa pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to Midnight.

"Midnight will now read out the pairs and who will verse who. Remember, this isn't a match based on who's friends with who." Aizawa said, his tone becoming serious. "There are reasons as to why you'll be working with a certain someone and reasons why you'll be versing a certain pair." 

Reasons? 

The students barley had time to take that in before Midnight started announcing names.
