Sunrise (Todoroki x Reader)

Chapter 19 - Sparks

"Call me Shoto..."

"...WAAAKE UP!!! ...WAAAAAKE UP!!! ...WAAAAKE UP!!! YEEEEEEAAAHH!!!" screeched y/n's Present Mic alarm clock. 

Y/n groaned and unravelled herself from her blanket, reaching out her hand to punch the 'off button'. She shut the irritating noise off with an annoyed sigh. She squinted and rubbed the drowsiness off her face with her hands as she yawned. 

Suddenly, she sat up straight in her bed.

Last night...

Y/n's heart began to race as the memories of last night came flooding back to her. They'd hung out in her room, talked together. He had played guitar as she sung along... then they'd gone out onto her balcony together. 

Todoroki- no, Shoto and her... had kissed. 

"I can't believe he actually liked me..." Y/n thought to herself. "I mean, I had barley admitted to myself that I had a crush on him before this. Okay, It may have crossed my mind a few times, but I never took it so seriously... I didn't know until last night that he was the type to let alone think about those things... about romance."

She sighed happily, her face flushing as she leaned back against her bed, replaying last night in her mind.

They'd watched the stars together for a while, embraced in each others arms, y/n leaning her head against Todoroki's shoulder as he held her close, his cheek on top of her head, both of them looking up at the clear and dazzling night sky. 

Y/n turned around and gently took a hold of his hands, bringing them from her shoulders and down to their normal position. Todoroki turned to face y/n as she slipped her fingers in between his, interlocking their hands. 

She looked whimsically into his eyes, blush spreading over her rosy cheeks.

"To-...Shoto?" y/n asked shyly. He gave her a small smile.

"Yes, y/n?" Todoroki replied smoothly.

"Are we... are we..., dating now?" y/n whispered. 

He smiled ever so slightly. Todoroki squeezed her hands, making her heart race.

"If you would allow it." he whispered back softly. Y/n's eyes widened at his suave and dignified answer, and smiled. She leaned in and kissed his forehead.

"Oh, I most definitely would." y/n smiled. 

He mirrored her smile and sighed happily, combing his hand softly through her hair. Todoroki looked up at the moon, brightly shining above them. 

"The moon is high now." he sighed contemplatively. Y/n sighed sadly, realising that he probably had to go soon. It was probably quite late by now.

"Yeah..." she sighed. She slipped on of her hands into his again. "I wish... this moment could last forever." 

Todoroki turned to face her and took both of her hands into his, squeezing them tightly with a look of deep affection in his eyes.

"Me too, y/n." he sighed. He tenderly traced his fingers around y/n's cheek and ear, making her cheeks redden and heart race. 

Suddenly, he furrowed his brow for a moment, then relaxed it again, looking back at y/n with a satisfied expression. He leaned into her ear.

"Hey. I have an idea." he whispered softly, brushing his lips against her earlobe. "Why don't we go out for a walk early tomorrow morning? We could watch the sunrise together."
