Todoroki POV
Todoroki walked solemnly out of his bathroom as he slipped on the shirt of his sports uniform. He opened the curtains in his bedroom and stared out of the window at the sunrise. Normally at this hour, he would already be on a morning jog.
But not today.
Today was the day of the U.A Sports Festival.
He zipped up his shirt with a sigh. He'd been woken suddenly by what sounded like a high-pitched screaming. It had taken him a moment to realise that he was in y/n's room.
They had stared at each other for a while before y/n pressed the alarm next to her bed and had explained, very flustered, that it was a Present Mic alarm clock that her little cousin had insisted on her taking to U.A.
Y/n was definitely full of surprises. But... these strange moments... they make Todoroki's heart feel warm.
I'm lucky.
He turned his head as he heard his phone vibrate. He picked it up form his desk and scowled. Another message from the old man.
Endeavour: SHOTO. I AM GOING TO BE AT THE SPORTS FESTIVAL TODAY. DON'T DISSAPOINT ME.
Todoroki rolled his eyes. The last thing he wanted on the day of the sports festival was his stupid old man to be there with his endless "you have to surpass All Might" talk. He clenched his jaw in anger.
After what you did to me, to Mom, to our family... I'm not going to be your perfect custom quirk child. I'm going to win this Sports Festival... only with Mom's power.
I will not use your flames.
Suddenly, his phone vibrated again. Todoroki sighed with annoyance and grabbed it, ready for another Endeavour spam message, but unclenched his jaw when he saw it was from y/n.
Y/n: Can I meet you at your dorm in 5 minutes? :)
He felt himself relax as he read her text.
Todoroki: Of course.
His thumb hovered over the heart symbol. He usually wasn't one to send emojis. But... there would be no harm in doing so, right? He pressed send and tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for an answer.
Todoroki: <3
Y/n: <3 <3
Todoroki smiled at his phone. He put it down with a sigh, feeling somewhat alleviated from the pressure from before. It was funny, actually. Looking back to before they were dating, he'd felt jittery around her, or what he thought were 'symptoms'. Now, y/n always seemed to make him feel calmer.
5 minutes seemed like a long time now to wait for her.
He walked back into his bathroom, up to the mirror. He sighed as he ran his hand through his hair, tracing back to the scar on the left side of his face. Todoroki had been thinking about it for a while now. It was last night, while he stroked her soft hair as she slept on his chest, that he'd felt it for sure.
I think I trust her enough...
It was then that he decided.
I'm going to tell y/n. Everything.
All of a sudden, there was a knock at the door. He walked over to it and opened the door to find y/n standing there, already in her sports uniform. She looked up at him and smiled, instantly filling him with a good feeling.
