Sunrise (Todoroki x Reader)

Chapter 24 - Snug

"Wow... that was intense." y/n sighed as Todoroki and her walked down the hallway to his dorm room from the elevator." 

"Yeah." Todoroki nodded in agreement, his arms crossed. 

The two of them had been in Aizawa's office for over an hour, being questioned about the device they found on the school grounds this morning. Their teacher had been very serious about the whole situation, but had thanked them for their vigilance. 

"Mr. Aizawa said that it's definitely some kind of recording device." Todoroki said pensitivley. Do you think... that perhaps it was planted there?" 

"I... don't know." y/n sighed, frowning seriously. "I mean... all of this stuff with the villain attack is making me think that it might be possible... but I'm not sure. God, all of this makes me feel sick." she shuddered. 

He looked back at her with concern, uncrossing his arms.

"Do you mean...literally? Are you okay, y/n?" he asked. Y/n raised her eyebrows with alarm.

"Hm? Oh! No no no, I meant in terms of feeling! I'm okay, Shoto!" she assured him. 

"Oh. Of course." he nodded, a little relieved. She looked at him curiously. 

Sometimes he has these... moments, like he takes everything literally... it's a bit bizarre... but in a strange way it makes me feel kind of... fond of him.

Y/n smiled slightly, her mood lifted.

"Thanks for your concern, though!" she grinned. 

He gazed back at her and nodded warmly, a little half smile on his face.

"Of course I'm concerned. You're my girlfriend." he said softly. Y/n's eyes widened with surprise as she blushed deeply.

He just said that I was his girlfriend! For the first time...

She continued smiling giddily as they arrived at his dorm room. He looked back at y/n, his expression softening. Todoroki offered out his hand, which y/n happily took as they continued walking down the hallway.

Eventually they reached Todoroki's room. He looked back at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Hey, y/n?" he asked.

"Yes?" y/n replied.

"I remember when we were talking here before, but I've only now realised... you've shown me your room, but you haven't seen mine yet. Want to come in?" he said smoothly. 

Her eyes widened and she smiled with delight.

"Oh! Yes, of course!" she nodded eagerly. 

He smiled warmly at her and began to open his door. She felt butterflies erupt in her stomach with excitement. Still, for some reason, she felt a little nervous going into his room.

I mean... he's been in mine and we've literally kissed there... but still... 

"Here's my room." he said, inviting y/n through the door. 

She gasped in awe. A traditional Japanese-style room! Y/n admired the shoji screen over the windows. The floor was even lined tatami mat! 

"Woah!! Your room is amazing, Shoto!" she exclaimed, tracing her finger over the dark wooden panels lining the corners of the wall. 

"Thank you." Todoroki nodded politely. Y/n walked around his room with a smile, admiring it as he closed the door. 

She turned back to him. The two-toned haired boy was leaning with one shoulder against his closet, arms crossed as he studied her with a peculiar expression. She stared back at him, suddenly feeling that she might be inspecting his room a little too much.
