Lisa sighed deeply as she stared at the ornate champagne clock hanging above the intricately designed rosewood double door of the Elite headquarters.

She was supposed to be in her class at this hour of the day. But she decided to ditch all of her morning subjects and maybe afternoon too. There's really no point in attending classes with her current state right now. Her mind is just simply too tired to give a damn about anything. She'd probably be just sleeping in class if not spacing out. Although her teachers wouldn't really scold her about being mentally absent (Elite Circle privileges), she's not that much of a bully to take pleasure in looking at teachers uncomfortably trying to ignore her (unlike Jimin).

Lisa's phone resting on the glass coffee table vibrated, sending a jolt on her body. In a matter of seconds, she snatched the phone from the furniture to look at the notification. To her disappointment, it was a message from her network provider.

She groaned, dropping her phone on the couch before plopping next to it. She sighed deeply as she thought of the man she's been looking forward to getting a message from. Bambam. Ever since she left him in the condominium last night to get a totally inebriated Hobi at a pub in Itaewon, the man hasn't texted her. To add to that, according to Tzuyu, who happens to be in the same class as him, the man didn't go to class today.

She totally understood it. After all, they agreed to give it a try, and for it to work, it means minimizing her interaction with Hobi. It's just that, what can she do? She has never heard Hobi that devastated. His voice was quivering during the call as he blurted out the break-up news. Lisa, later on, learned that it was Joy who broke off everything because apparently, she is still in love with the married man who sponsors her, and they would occasionally go out behind his back.

After hearing that, Lisa was so close to locating Joy's apartment and giving her a beating. If it wasn't for Hobi stopping her, that could have happened. But boy was his Oppa so in love with her even when she blatantly cheated on him. What made the situation better was Hobi swearing he'd cut all her ties with Joy and the Elite Circle, upon knowing that, had been supportive of his decision by making sure Joy would never get anywhere near him.

Lisa's not going to lie. The news shook the decisions she thought were already irrevocable. And as much as she had grown fond of her fake boyfriend turned real, she suddenly became unsure if that fondness is enough to replace an almost decade feeling.

When the bronze dauphine hands of the clock stopped at 12 and the bell rung, Lisa sat properly and fixed herself. In a short while, the Elite Circle started to enter one by one, looking tired and dejected after a half-day of classes.
