Author's Note:

I can't stop watching this edit from the talented @LovLy4822.  Anyone who reads this book should watch this video! Anyways, Today is her birthday. And so, I dedicate this chapter to her! Love you, bestieeee!

Also, sorry to keep you waiting. I swear, I'm trying my hardest to update. A lot of things are happening in my life right now, especially with my academics. I hope you understand.

I hope you enjoy this update! I finished writing this at 3:51, so you could only imagine how many errors this chapter has because I can't think straight, and the only thing that's keeping me together is a cup of iced coffee from Mcdonalds' and BTS' Permission to dance on repeat (Please stream).

Love y'all!

ANYWAYS, VERY IMPORTANT! NOTE THAT TAEHYUNG HAS A LOW EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN THIS STORY WHICH CAN EXPLAIN WHY HE ACTS A CERTAIN WAY.

"We found Alice. We found your sister, Roseanne." Mark said.

Chaeyoung felt her body temperature dropping. Her hands and feet suddenly turned ice cold. It was as if she went into a shower on a winter night without turning on the heater. A feeling of uneasiness churned on her stomach, making her queasy and wanting to throw up. Her heart was beating like a drum—loud and fast. It isn't until she got a hold of herself that she was able to notice she didn't breathe.

"S-she's a-alive ..." Chaeyoung muttered under her breath.

"She's alive. Alice is alive." Mark confirmed.

"Oh my god, Mark. P-please, tell me this isn't a false lead. T-tell me I'm not dreaming." Chaeyoung said as her knees started to weaken, vision blurring from the tears building up in her eyes.

"She's really alive, Roseanne," Mark said. "A friend of hers contacted dad. The information has been verified." Mark added.

"Where is she?" She asked.

"I don't think I should tell you right now. Maybe I'll tell you when we see each—"

"No, please mark! I need you to tell me where she is right now. Please." Chaeyoung said, voice quivering. "I have waited for so long, Mark. I have waited for more than enough. I can't wait anymore. Tell me now."

Mark remained silent for a while. He might have been contemplating whether or not to tell her. She knew Mark is just concerned with how she would react to the news, and it made her feel even more uneasy. If Mark is holding back the information for fear of how she would handle hearing it, it might have been something she doesn't want to hear.
