I am smarter than this! I should have known better!

"Takbo!"

I pulled Wendell to dodge the bomb that had been thrown toward us. This guy yelled so hard after we found fortress in a large rock. "Yong buhok kong naka-gel ngayon naletche!" My features darken when Wendell didn't contain himself, rather he stood in anger and showed his middle finger to the world. "Tangina niyo po for ruining my hairstyle! Mabaog sana kayo! Best regards!" I gritted my teeth together.

"Can you act maturely?!"

"Cousin, I am!" He answered back after picking a pebble then threw it toward the enemy. "Mga ugok! Buhay pa din ako! Bomba niyo kasing lakas lang ng utot ko!" Impressive, how mature of him.

We docked after a massive explosion once again lit up the sky. Darn, Moaz and their extraordinary bombing technique. Napaka-hilig nila dito dahil 'yon naman halos eksperto ng mga kakampi nila. Astang matatalino. Pinaypay ko ang harapan dahil sa bumalot na hamog sa paligid, naging dahilan pa 'yon para wala akong makita.

But we still need to move.

I prepared my weapon and gaze back where our team split into pieces. We lost our cohesion after Tier and his partner showed up from nowhere. Owinis was right all along, I should just listen and run as fast as we can. He's our King from the very start, I should have respected him, darn. If we loose, I will never have the guts to accept that thought.

"Any plan?" Tanong ni Wendell na hinihingal sa kapal ng usok halo ng chemical.

I flinched my neck. "Still none, I can't detect what to do. Let's first check the situation."

"K fine."

After heaving, I nod to myself, I slightly raise my head from our hideout, I narrowed my eyes hoping I could see Vira and the rest. My eyes automatically landed on Tier who's having a rough fight with Apollo. He's been cornered and nowhere to go. While Dandelion is heading toward a rock, I saw it was where.... 

Fuck, Owinis! Nandoon si Owinis!

At his side is Vira, panting. With that look on Dan's face, I bet she'll ripped every skin they have for fun. My hands on the sword almost turn pale due to the nervous. Papalapit na nang papalapit si Dan sakanila... at wala silang kamalay malay. Makikita na sila ni Dan — mula sa pagkataranta 'di na ako nakapag-isip ng maayos. Hinila ko ang buhok ni Wendell na humiyaw.

"Pakengsheyt, Magdalene?! Sabi ko naka-gel 'yan, diba?!"

"Shut up! We're going to wage war, right now!" Sigaw ko sa mukha niya na nabigla. Sinilip niya ang nasa gilid kung saan paparating na si Dan sa pwesto nila Vira.

"Are you mentally ill?!" Dinuro ko ang dibdib niya.

"We'll go. Where our King, there we'll be."

"No way!"

"Any idea to save our King?! Owinis is in trouble! Quillon and Radzyn are missing! They only have us!"

"No! You know my principle, Magdalene! Plan before attack! 'Di ako lulusob ng walang plano! Kabobohan 'yon! Bobo mo!" Paulit-ulit siyang umiling at kumawala sa pagkaka-kwelyo ko. Damn, I know Wendell is smart but for Pete sake, nangigilaiti ako sa gagong ito ngayon.

"So what now? Ready to watch Black Spade fall apart that easily?!" He pale for a moment and stare at Owinis's spot. His temperature raises as well as his sweats. I stood feeling impatience with his stupidity. "Decide now! There's no time for planning! This is war not a game, Wendell!"
