Chapter 10

Lacey

The kiss lasted for a few moments, it wasn't rushed or sloppy it was sweet and it was just perfect. I pulled away, feeling myself going shy and blushing.

"Sorry" I said, looking anywhere but at Jack.

"No, it's okay, I mean that was unexpected but there's no harm in anything" Jack said trying to reassure me.

We both sat in silence for a bit, I took small glances of Jack but he just looked so deep in his thoughts. I wonder what he's thinking about.

Jack

I don't know what just happened. I am still playing it over and over in my head. One minute we were laughing and having fun, then we were talking and then.....she kissed me. The feeling of her soft pink gentle lips on mine was like heaven on earth. I could hear my wolf howling in joy. I know what he wanted but I couldn't do it, not just yet anyway. He wanted me to take her home, lay her down on my bed and ravish her. He wanted me to mate with her and I could feel him trying to push me into it but I had to fight him off. I couldn't lead Lacey on like that and not tell her the truth but if I do tell her the truth, chances are she will be terrified of me and never speak to me again.

Lacey

"Maybe I should go now" I said

"No!" Jack shouted back quite quickly

I looked at him a little bit shocked and taken aback, where had this sudden outburst come from ? 

"Sorry Lace I didn't mean to snap like that, can we talk about it ?" Jack asked

"Jack I already said I was sorry, I didn't mean to kiss you it just kind of happened" I tried to explain

"Answer me this question honestly, did you really have a crush on me or like me when we were at school together ?" Jack asked

"I....Yes, yes I did okay" I replied

"Why did you never tell me ?" Jack asked

"You were popular, I was the quiet girl that no one really noticed" I shrugged

"Do you regret our little kiss ?" Jack asked

"I don't know, how do you feel about it ?" I asked

"That was the first most perfect kiss I've had, yeah I did kiss a few back in school but none of them have ever felt like that" Jack said

"It was also my perfect kiss" I said

"Lace, we're both single and like I said, I've really been enjoying reconnecting with you and getting to know you all over again" Jack said

"Do you want to forget it happened ?" I asked

"I'm not sure, I mean it wasn't bad, like I said it was a perfect kiss and we're both single" Jack shrugged

"Are we still friends ? Are we still okay ?" I asked him nervously

"Of course we are" Jack reassured me

"You were just being so nice to me and I guess we got close" I said

"Tell me one thing, am I better than the guy that hurt you back home ?" Jack asked

I'm not gonna lie, this question threw me. I wasn't expecting him to ask me this. I thought for a moment before looking up at Jack, looking him right in the eyes.

"Yes. You are, your so much more better" I told him honestly

"Would you want to give us a go ?" Jack asked

"A  go?" I asked him confused

"Yes as in me and you together" Jack said

"Well, if you wanted too, yes I would" I smiled
