"So why the sudden plan to visit Busan, Gyu?" Soobin asked, glancing at the brunette who was looking out of the window.

The latter was having a blissful time watching the the love of his life bake when Beomgyu called him out of nowhere demanding to get a car ready. The poor wedded man begrudgingly agreed, leaving his husband alone who was stirring a bowl of chocolate batter and was humming to music at that time.

A very rare and very cute slash domestic sight for Soobin since his husband was just as busy as he is.

"Kai called," Beomgyu began. "He said some of our men got attacked when they were investigating another gang kill in Busan."

"What?!" Soobin uttered, glancing at Beomgyu before back to the road.

"Is Hyuka alright? How severe were their injuries did he said they were?" the older male bombarded him with questions. Eyes shifting from the road to the brunette every couple of seconds.

Beomgyu merely shrugged. "I don't know, I hung-up while he was still talking."

Soobin gave the brunette an angry glance before letting out a frustrated sigh. "Be grateful you're my boss."

"Always," Beomgyu replied, eyes still outside the window.

A blanket of silence had been wrapped around the two males. None of them spoke one word, that is until Soobin did the honors of speaking.

"Did you find it?" the raven haired male asked.

"The files of the deceased Dalbich jegug? Yeah, I did." Beomgyu muttered. "Quite remarkable since the killing signature was very similar to the ones Huening reported."

"Wait, so you're saying that this killer we're after..." Soobin trailed off, turning the stirring wheel to the right. "Is a possible member of the former master gang?"

"Dunno, for all we know it could be anyone. Maybe even..." the brunette gulped, tongue a bit stiff as if he can't even say the name.

"Maybe even who, sir Choi?" Soobin asks tauntingly.

The said brunette scoffed, knowing very well of what Soobin's intentions were. "Maybe even Taehyun, actually it could be anyone, who knows?"

Then another minute of silence reigned once again before it broke. But this time, Beomgyu was the one who did it.

"How's Beomhyun?" he asked.

Soobin almost hit the brakes at the younger's sudden question. He didn't expect Beomgyu to ask about the young boy, nevertheless ask how he was doing right now.

It gave him quite a shock.

"H-He's fine..." Soobin says in a little stammer. "Although a bit dishearted since he found out he couldn't go back to his hometown anytime soon."

Beomgyu only hummed as a response before averting his eyes to the road.

"Are you sure that was a good idea?" Soobin asks.

"About what?"

"About Beomhyun being a member of Beeojegug, not that I oppose or anything. But the young boy has the right to go back to his hometown, Gyu. His parents might be searching for him right now," Soobin explained.

"But your son confirmed it himself that the young boy can't go back to his home anymore." Beomgyu reasoned, eyes now on Soobin. "And besides, I already told deputy officer Park that the boy is already part of the gang. And you know me hyung, I don't take my words back."

The brunette averted his gaze back to the window, mind wandering to the conversation he and Soojun had this early morning.

Beomgyu was at his office sitting on the railings of his balcony, admiring the sun slowly crawling towards the horizon. The white fluffy clouds that overlapped the sky were painted with blue and orange hues.
