Blinking his eyes, Soojun's vision slowly became clear, finding himself staring at a white ceiling. Soon after the heavy scent of alcohol and medicine hit his nose, along with the soft beepings of a heart monitor.

It didn't take long for the young boy to figure out that he was in a hospital.

And then, he heard a gasp.

"Soo..." Yeonjun whispered tearily as he quickly dashed towards his child, cupping Soojun's face.

"A-Appa-Jun?" his croaked, voice a bit raspy and his throat hurt a bit.

"Yes bun its me. Oh god you made me and your appa-Bin so worried, thank heavens you're awake." Yeonjun sniffles as he gently cradled Soojun's head. The young boy tried hugging his dad in return, but soon felt a twinge of pain on his chest area, making him hiss due to how uncomfortable it was.

Soojun looks down and saw the bandages around his chest.

"You got stabbed on your chest, Soo." Yeonjun explained, "Luckily it managed to miss your heart."

"How long was I out?"

Yeonjun stroked his son's hair before answering. "It's only been a day sweetheart, your uncle Gyu found you at an alley under some wooden crates along with your stab wound. Bun what happened?"

Soojun quickly looked up at his appa, and then his eyes widen as he remembered what had happened to him.

"Beomhyun and I... w-we got ambushed." Soojun says.

Yeonjun's eyes widen, "What- How? I thought you guys were with..."

"Yeo-jong, Woosan and Kyle still had club meetings to attend. And the others were also at their clubs doing their activities. And Byun wanted to go to the park... so I went with him." Soojun explains in a small voice as he looks down.

"It's all my fault," he says.

Yeonjun frowned. "Bun don't say that-"

"No, appa-Jun it really is my fault!" Soojun protested. "I-If only I said no to Byun when he said wanted to visit the park. I should've been more aware of the danger of the situation. I should've been more strict around him I-"

"Hey, Soojun look at me," Yeonjun says, cupping his child's cheeks, making the young boy look at him.

"No one's at fault here, okay?"

"But I was supposed to be guarding him appa..." Soojun said as he looks fown once more. "But the goons were... too many, and it was only me and Byun. Along with being cornered at the alley. I tried fighting them off to let Beomhyun get away but-"

"But?" Yeonjun repeats.

"There was this guy... he- he appeared out of nowhere and stabbed me. And the last thing I saw was Byun being shoved into their van, and a tattoo of the guy who stabbed me. It was a bear biting a flower." Soojun narrates.

Hearing the last sentence, Yeonjun stiffened. His eyes widen in horror as a mental image of the said tattoo that haunted him and the others came back.

The clan made their move.

And worst, they have Beomhyun.

"Appa?"

Yeonjun's thoughts were cut off when Soojun called him.

"Yes Bun?"

Gulping, the young boy asked. "We're going to find him, right?"

The raven haired male only shook his head and smiled at his son, stroking Soojun's hair. "Of course we will, don't worry Bun. Now how 'bout you take a rest for now, hm? I'll call your appa-Bin and tell him that you're awake." Yeonjun says tenderly.
