"10 men found dead in Busan and Daegy with multiple stabs on the stomach, a bullet through the heart, face completely skinned-off. And a petunia on top of the corpses bloodied chests for the past week. " Beomgyu enumerated, closing the folder in his hand before throwing it on his table.
The head chief of police nodded, "Exaclty," he spoke.
Taking off his glasses, he lifts his gaze towards Head chief Yoon and let out a sigh.
"And you decided to hand this to me a week after?" Beomgyu says with a tired expression.
"I apologize for that Mr. Choi, the police were quite busy so we couldn't send it to you on time," Chief Yoon explains, bowing apologetically.
Beomgyu discretely rolled his eyes, 'Sure you were.'
"Anyways, is this the only reason why you've come to Beeojegug?"
The heaf chief hesitated, but in a second his lips curved into a smirk.
Upon seeing the smirk, Beomgyu let out a tired sigh before closing his eyes. "Spill it."
"Well, I did a bit of research a few days ago." Chief Yoon began. "And I came across something quite... scandalous."
"Well forgive me but I was never a fan of celebrity drama," Beomgyu sassed, hoisting himself up and grabbed the folder the police officer gave him.
The chief let out a chortle. "No, not that drama..." he trailed off, plopping on the cushion chair that was in front of Beomgyu's table.
"It was something that concerned you..." he trailed off again.
"And a former member of the deceased Dalbich jegug."
Beomgyu halted upon hearing the name of Taehyun's former gang. Slowly, he looked over his shoulder, eyes darkened as he saw the officer wearing an evil smile.
The Beeojegug leader gulped before asking. "And that is?"
Chief Seol-hyung let out a chortle, picking up his untouched cup of whisky. "About the controversial issue that you took him in which made you and your father turn backs." he says as he gently twirled the cup.
He gave the leader a side glance before smirking, "Which eventually created the messiest inner war in Mafia history."
"I see you've found quite the dig, do you want a reward for the hard work?" Beomgyu jested, jaw clenching every now and then.
Seol-hyung grinned internally, knowing that Taehyun was a sensitive topic for the brunette leader.
"Touché."
Biting his cheek, Beomgyu spun around. Now facing the deputy chief, "Why the sudden mention of my former gang member's name? Does he have anything to do about this?" he asks, Beomgyu knew Taehyun was a possible person of interest.
But he wanted to test the waters if this idiot could be trusted.
"Well..." Seol-hyung tipped the his cup, letting the whisky slide down his mouth. Gulping, he then averted his gaze to Beomgyu.
"We all know that Dalbich jegug is known for their unique doings of placing flowers on top of the victims body. Probably an offering of apologies or sympathy, and I'm sure you know about their ranks, correct?"
Hesitantly, Beomgyu nodded, "As a matter a fact I do, what about it?"
Hoisting up from the chair, Seol-hyung flashed him a twisted smile.
"The flower of hatred shall dye thy hair red. Never love, or thou shall be condemned to death."
Upon hearing the phase Beomgyu's complexion became abruptly pale, the file he had been holding fell from his grip. Allowing the papers to scatter underneath his feet.
Seeing the Beeojegug leader's expression. Chief Seol-hyung straightened his blazer, but his smirked was not erased as he headed towards the door.
"Goodbye Beomgyu-ssi," the chief smirked before exiting the office.
Once the door had been slammed shut, Beomgyu rested a hand on his bookshelf. Hus breath became shaky as cold sweat started to form his neck and forehead.
"H-How did he know?"

A ring from a phone was heard from a certain office room.
"Hello?" a voice said from behind the swivel chair.
"So little Soojun took in a boy who looks exactly like Taehyun?" the voice asked, taking a sip from its wine glass.
"Yeah, and surprisingly, his habits are a bit similar to Beomgyu-hyung. And to be honest, its kinda creepy."
"Hm..." the voice hummed before a gleam of mischief flashed through its eyes as it smiled in full curiousity.
"That's quite the tea you've got there."
