Beomgyu woke up—bothered.

After receiving that USB drive from Moh-wa, and also watching the surveillance video dozen of times. All the questions he thought were now answered came resurfacing once more.

Where is Taehyun? Why did he leave? And what was his reason of doing so?

Getting up from bed, the latter gazed into his window; staring at the bustling city of Seoul underneath him.

Was it because he had a family?

Beomgyu shook his head, no, as far as he knew about it Taehyun had no living relatives in Korea. So that's off the list.

Was it because of his son that he had mentioned in the video?

Well that was a pretty obvious answer; however one question remains.

Whose this son Taehyun was talking about?

And if he did had a son, then who's the other parent?

Though that was more than one question, but anyway.

Back to the main topic.

"Sixteen years, huh?" Beomgyu muttered, slipping in a shirt.

Taehyun disappeared for sixteen years: no goodbyes, no last minute messages, not even farewell call. He left so suddenly, and had probably snatched a husband along those years and made off-springs.

However...

Why would he kill a whole gang just to find his son?

Did the young boy got himself pulled into the world of the mafia?

'So does that possibly mean that Taehyun's brat is sixteen years old now?' Beomgyu thought.

Since he was one of the most feared masters in the field. Beomgyu knew that every gang only takes in kids who were at least sixteen and above. They had no exceptions to that rule, even the kids of gang masters are not excepted.

So the possibility is pretty high.

'Ah... that would be pretty ironic. Once in the mafia, always in the mafia,' Beomgyu thought as he chuckled.

"Poor kid must be scared to his wits," he jested, but soon his smile died down when he remembered something.

That night...

After that night sixteen years ago Beomgyu noticed the change in Taehyun's attitude whenever he was around. The latter wouldn't look at him in the eye, and would sometimes caught him staring at him from a distance. As if he wanted to tell him something.

But then another question had pop-up.

What exactly happened on that night sixteen years ago?

Placing a hand on his head, Beomgyu tried to recall the event. But somehow no matter how much he tried, he couldn't seem to remember anything.

Not even a tidbit.

"This is killing my brain," Beomgyu groaned, hiding his face on his palms.

Why couldn't he remember anything?!

Beomgyu shook his head, this was slowly giving him stress.

"YAH CHOI, COME BACK HERE YOU INSOLENT FOOL!" a shout was heard from the other side of his window.

Lifting his head, Beomgyu walked towards the other window which had the view of the wide yard.

There he found a fuming Kang Beomhyun holding a toy hammer while chasing a frightened Choi Soojun.
