Beomgyu smiled in relief as he made his way towards Taehyun who gave him a welcoming smile as he patted the space beside him.

Gesturing the older male to sit so he could catch his breath.

"You look quite dishevelled," Taehyun jested, eyes on Beomgyu.

"I ran... " Beomgyu said truthfully. "I completely forgot how wide this place was," the older male chuckled breathlessly.

"You're not the only one," Taehyun says.

Beomgyu sat besides the blonde male, but he made sure to keep a little bit of distance so he doesn't intrude Taehyun's personal space.

Silence reigned over them for a minute, before Taehyun got up from the bench and started to walk.

"Let's go hyung." he says and Beomgyu looks at him confusingly.

"Huh? Go where?" Beomgyu asked, standing up as well.

Taehyun stopped about a meter before looking over his shoulder to face Beomgyu.

"Let's take a stroll around the park hyung," he says with a smile. "Besides, sitting on a bench would only make us more awkward don't you think?" Taehyun points out.

Beomgyu blinked, but nodded either way, "Of course," he agrees with a smile.

They walked down the sidewalk, side by side. Distance not too close nor not too far, eyes sneaking glances at each other whenever the other one wasn't looking.

"So um... how's Byun?" Beomgyu asked, breaking the silence.

Slowly a smile etched its way towards Taehyun's lips.

"The doctor said he's cuts are healing... he even said Byunnie's allowed to have visitors now..." Taehyun says then lets out a sigh.

Beomgyu hums. "That's good, I heard from Hyuka that Kyle's been visiting Byun for a while but he couldn't go in so he stayed outside."

Taehyun chuckles, "Yeah, so I've heard. He was actually the first one to visit Beommie today. He even bought flowers and a get well soon card."

"He takes from Kai, doesn't he?" Beomgyu comments.

"Yeah, he does," Taehyun agrees, then a found smile made it's way towards the the blonde male's lips.

"And Byun takes from you, hyung."

Due to the suddenness, Beomgyu halts and his gaze on Taehyun who also stopped walking and was now looking at him. A wide smile present on his lips, eyes once again revealing the galaxy.

"To be honest I wasn't actually planning on taking a stroll, nor even planning on leaving Beomhyun's ward today. Not after what happened to him two weeks ago. I—couldn't really bring myself to go outside..." Taehyun begins.

"I was scared someone might break in and take him away again, or worst kidnap him." he says softly, eyes glued on the sidewalk.

Beomgyu didn't say anything and continued to listening intently.

And truth to be told, Beomgyu felt the same way. He was hesitant to leave Beomhyun and Taehyun alone because of a meeting. He didn't wanna go, but then again he was forced to attend the said meeting since it was about the other malicious gangs the clan partnered with have been on radar.

So as Beomgyu finishes his meetings on an overnight, he drives to the hospital and he always found Taehyun and Beomhyun sleeping soundly whenever he gets there.

Then an amused smile went to his face. "It was actually Beomhyun who convinced me to. But of course I refused, but he kept on assuring me that he'll be fine with Kyle."

"He always notices the littlest things in a persons mood," Taehyun utters. "No matter how hard I tried to hide it he'll always notices and tries his best to help."

The blonde male averts his gaze to Beomgyu and smiles. "One of his many traits that reminds me of you."

Beomgyu didn't speak and only stared at Taehyun with wide eyes. Well to be honest he didn't really know what to answer, so he kept quiet and listened.

"I'm sorry for taking him away Gyu-hyung." Taehyun spoke, voice shaky and small. "I... I know it was a careless and selfish move of mine but—"

This time, Beomgyu spoke. "Taehyun no, please stop blaming yourself," he took a step closer to the blonde male.

"I know the reason why you did it, you don't have to say sorry. Besides, I was at fault as well," Beomgyu says.

"I shouldn't have ignored you in those days where you said you wanted to tell me something." he continues, hesitantly reaching for Taehyun's hand. "And that day, I should have shown up instead of joining that forced date with Mina."

"If only I've done the right thing back then— then maybe, just maybe..." Beomgyu paused and looks down at their hands that were clasped together before meeting Taehyun's gaze again.

"I could've kept you and Byun beside me."

A smile went its way to Taehyun's lips accompanied by a chuckle. "So we're blaming ourselves now, huh?"

Beomgyu broke out a smile. "I suppose we are."

To be honest, it was quite amusing. The two of them pointing out there faults in the past, apologizing and somehow wanted to take the blame of it as well.

They may not forget and look back, but the past stays the past; thus it can never be changed.

But then again, the past was their lesson. And the present is where they map everything out for the future.

And right now, perhaps apologizing must be the first step into mending everything.

"Though, to be honest I thought you were planning on killing me when all this was over." Beomgyu confesses. "I mean, I know for a fact that Moh-wa told you about the first impression I gave our son, and that mission."

"Well... I was planning on knocking you with a bullet when I heard it from Hwa," Taehyun casually admits and Beomgyu visibly flinched at the casualness in his tone.

"But then again, you didn't know about Beomhyun and I know you had trust issues around people..." Taehyun went on. "Just be grateful that Soojun and the others managed to stop you before I did."

Beomgyu nodded. "Yeah." 'I really am.' he thought.

"So..." Beomgyu breathes out, eyes on Taehyun

"Shall we do this together Kang Taehyun?" he asked.

They'll try and mend everything together.

For their son, and for themselves as well.

Chuckling, Taehyun nods his head. Entwining their hands together.

"Of course, Choi Beomgyu."
