Soojun woke up—tired.
The young boy groaned as he rubbed his eyes, reaching for his glasses that were right beside him. He puts them on and cursed and frowned as he looked at the clock that was on the wall.
6:00 AM.
But soon after, Soojun had noticed the temperature getting lower than normal. Getting up, he tiptoed towards the window and saw little droplets of water racing down the windowsill. Along with the gray clouds covering the sky and the heavy down pour.
It was raining.
A small smile made its way towards his lips.
"Finally!" Soojun mutters as he began his journey to the kitchen. His sleepiness now out of his system.
Soojun hated mornings, and that was a fact that he admitted with pride. They were always so hectic, especially on a school week.
But early mornings with rain? Soojun can make happily take everything he said about mornings. The cold temperature and the damp smell of grass made rainy days so cozy that he could just wrap himself in a blanket or maybe even watch the down pour whilst enjoying a cup of hot chocolate.
Soojun hums a tune as he ventured towards the kitchen. And surprisingly, he found Beomhyun there too.
The latter had his back on view since it looked like he was cooking or something.
"G'morning," Soojun greeted sleepily as he waddled absent-mindedly towards the fridge.
Glancing at the older male, Beomhyun replies. "Morning, slept well?"
"You can say that," Soojun yawns, opening the fridge door but then a thought came to mind.
'Wait, why am I opening the fridge when I wanted hot chocolate?'
The raven haired male silently closed the fridge door and went towards the kitchen counter. Taking a mug from the cupboard, he sluggishly started to make his hot cocoa. Ocassionally sneaking glances at what Beomhyun was cooking.
"What're you cooking?" Soojun asked softly, earning the young boy's attention.
"Breakfast," Beomhyun briefly says.
Blinking his eyes, Soojun only nodded. A bit conflicted if Beomhyun was being sarcastic or not.
"Is it still raining?"
Soojun nods. "Mhm, raining cats and dogs."
Once again, silence took over...
"I'm making hot chocolate, do you want one?" Soojun asks in a cute manner.
The young boy nods. "Sure, but I think you should make three more since the others would want one too once they wake up." Beomhyun says, turning off the stove.
"I'll make one for Kyle and you, the other two are big enough to make one by themselves." Soojun said, getting two more mugs.
"You're cruel," Beomhyun snickered.
"I'm giving them a chance of independence." Soojun states, but then found himself getting two more mugs for Yeo-jong and Woosan.
Beomhyun chuckled as he noticed it, "A chance of indenpendence you say?"
Soojun placed a finger on his own lips before averting his gaze to Beomhyun. "Don't tell them," he whispers.
Beomhyun only chuckled.
