Three weeks. It's been three weeks since I left Liv's house. Three weeks since she's last talked to me. The first week I tried to call her, send her texts, but she never answered or replied.
Now I know how she felt when we stopped talking that first time. It's pure agony.
I've tried so many times to reach out that I started sending her flowers. I've been sending her flowers everyday since.
At this rate the florist is gonna run out of flowers to send.
She's probably sick of all the flowers I've been sending to her work and home. But I don't want her to leave me. I've been the most happy with her than I've ever been.
"God this is driving me insane," I groan as I throw myself on the couch.
"Hellooo," someone yells from the back door.
"In here."
"Good god, have you even showered?" screeched Scott.
"I have... not."
"Well thank goodness I took Dodger with me, this place reeks," he looks around to the bottles of beer I have laying around the kitchen and the leftovers on the countertop. "Man you need to get it together."
"Yeah, I know. Thanks for the reminder," I mumble.
He starts picking up the bottles and throwing them in a black bag. "So what happened? Has she called you back?"
"No," I groan. "And I've been sending her flowers everyday and she still-"
"I'm sorry what?"
"What?"
"You've been sending her flowers everyday!?!"
"Yeah to her job and home, I thought-"
"Christopher." he pinches the bridge of his nose. "She's gone into shock because you're this big, flashy celebrity. And then you go and flash your money getting her flowers everyday. Chris that's not going to work."
"Oh damn."
"Oh damn is correct. What you need to do is show her, remind her, that you're just you. You're just a person like everyone else. You don't need to try to win her over with a big love confession. Just be honest with her."
I didn't think of it like that. I'm sure at this point she's annoyed about the flowers, but I seriously thought she'd like them. That I'd at least get a thank you text.
"You're right."
"Of course I'm right. So now what?"
"I don't know... I guess I should try to reach out to her. Try to set up a time to talk in person."
"That's a good first step. You guys have been talking for months, don't let this go down the drain for something like this."
"Yeah, let's just hope she actually answers this time around..."
---
I've called her twice already and she hasn't answered. So before I try a third time I send her a text.
Chris - Hey Liv, I really need to talk to you. Please can you just answer my call?
I texted her a lot and the likelihood of her actually answering at this point is not likely but I've gotta keep trying.
And then a text comes through.
465-565 - Domino's Tracker: Your order is in the oven.
Gahh! This is ridiculous. I should just go see her. I grab my coat and my keys.
And then another text comes through.
"It better not be Domino's again," I growl.
Liv :) - Hey, sure. When?
Oh thank god!
Chris - Whenever you're free.
Liv :) - Friday at 8. Scott's rooftop.
Chris - I'll be there.
"Yes!" I fist pump into the air.
We've gone to Scott's rooftop so often, that he just gave us keys to get up there.
I'm gonna go early to clean up and get the place ready.
"I gotta make this special. I gotta make this count."
I put my jacket back on and head to the store.
This is my one shot and I can't mess it up.
