The next three weeks flew by, actually flew by.
Olivia came over more often, and we ended up taking care of the kids again last week. It was kind of nice for Carly and Ryan to have some free time, and we we're more than glad to watch the kids. They have all gotten really close to Olivia and it almost seems like they like her more than me.
It's three days before the premiere and Liv and I have planned to go shopping. I told her to dress up, but nothing too fancy.
And surely enough when I picked Liv up she was in a silk button up and some fitted slacks.
"Hey you said nothing too fancy, plus these are stretchy, look," she pulls on the top of her pants showing how it expanded.
I laugh, of course she would pick comfy clothes.
"As long as you're comfortable babe," I give her a kiss, "I called ahead of time so they would have a few different options waiting for us."
"Alright, sounds good," she gives me a warm smile.
It's only February so it's still cold outside. So apart from what she was wearing she slipped on some leather boots and a faux fur lined leather jacket.
"So you didn't tell me where we're going."
"It's a surprise."
She chuckles, "Well of course it is."
The store isn't far from her place thankfully, and I made sure to get there after 7 once the store had closed.
I take an extra pair of sunglasses I have in the car and hand them to Liv, "Here put these on."
"It's not even sunny," she looks at me puzzled.
"It's for in case any photographers show up..."
"Oh..." her face falls, "Okay."
She slips them on and I jump out of the car to open the door for her. I take a look around and don't see anyone so I rush her out and into the store.
As soon as we step in Liv whispers, "Dolce and Gabbana."
I nod and smile at her. I take hold of her hand and lead her over to the counter. There wasn't anyone there but soon enough a lady walked up to us.
"Hi there, you must be our 7:30."
"That would be us," I hold up our hands, the lady gives us a tight smile.
"Follow me please."
We follow her back to a private seating area where they have all sorts of dresses and suits.
"Wow," Liv gasps beside me.
"We'll have Claire come out here in just a bit to help you both."
"Thank you," we both nod at her.
"I didn't realize you were such a fan of the brand?" I tease.
"I'm not... Just- My friend is a fashion designer in LA and she would die if she got specially designed clothes from here."
"I see... Is that the same friend you stay with whenever you go over there?"
"Yeah she and I were in med school together. She later dropped out and went to school for fashion design, drastic change."
"Well good for her, that she followed her dreams."
"Yeah I'm pretty proud of her. She actually did a spread with Elle girl not too long ago."
"Oh really? You think she'd make something for us one day? Maybe for our next premiere?" I wink at her.
"Let's just get through this first one," she laughs, "But I'm sure she'd more than glad to make us something later on."
