Three weeks. It's been three agonizing weeks of waiting.
I've been planning to propose to Olivia again and this time I asked Ronnie for help. And not only was she giving me some amazing ideas, but she was flying out. I got her and Jaxon tickets and they were finally coming in today.
I told Olivia that Ronnie had helped me find the perfect gift for her, and that I would be giving it to her later today once she got home from work. And while this was true, the actual present was Ronnie... And well the ring.
So Liv left this morning all giddy that she was getting a present, and I left shortly after to pick up Ronnie and Jaxon from the airport.
"Hey I'm here, black suv," I tell her over the phone.
"I don't see- Oh wait there you are!" She pulls Jaxon along and they stop in front of my car.
"Hop in guys," I say once Ronnie opens the door. She jumps in the back and Jaxon puts their luggage in the trunk. He hops in the front with me and we speed off.
"Hey man, nice to see you."
"Yeah.. Hehe, nice to see you too," he says nervously.
"Don't mind him, he's just nervous because he's a big fan," Ronnie says from the back seat.
"Ronnie," he replies in a hushed town.
I chuckle, "Not a problem, it's nice to have you guys in town."
"I hope you don't mind staying at my place," I direct to Jaxon.
"Not a problem," he shakes his head, still avoiding eye contact.
I chuckle again and continue with Ronnie, "So how was your flight?"
"It was great! Thank you for the seats though, you didn't have to get us first class."
"Nonsense, my treat. It's the least I could do with all that you're helping me out with."
"Well thank you nonetheless."
"So where to first?"
"Craft store. We're gonna need a lot of balloons."
"Joann's it is."
We ended up buying 80 silver heart balloons and big styrofoam letters that say "Marry Me". Ronnie also got a bunch of fake dahlia's to glue on to the letters. We also grabbed about 50 candles. I wanted to get more, but Ronnie said it would be more than enough. We also went to the flower shop and got a bunch of white rose petals and four different sizes of dahlia bouquets.
"Do you think it'll be enough?"
"Oh don't worry about it, I also ordered a few more things online, they should have arrived already."
"If you say so..."
As soon as we got to the house she didn't bother to settle in, even though I insisted she rest, but rather went straight to work on the letters. When she was done we hid all of the things in the shed in the back of the house.
We had a lot of things to hide, and the "few things" Ronnie ordered ended up being a lot more than just a little bit.
But regardless we managed to hide everything away and soon before Liv got home she hid in the huge box she ordered.
Jaxon went to their room while we waited for her to come home. And a few minutes later the front door opened.
"Hey babe! I'm home!"
"In here!"
She walked in to the living room and her eyes went straight to the humongous box.
"Oh my god, what did you get?"
