"Should we take her to the hospital?"
"No, I think we should let her wake up. She may not want to go."
"But she's burning up."
"She'll be okay. I've taken care of her before. She's not gonna want to go. She'll probably just want to take an ibuprofen and rest."
"Okay if you say so..."
"Let's go, it'll probably take her a few more hours to get up."
I feel sticky. And dizzy.
I scrunch up my eyebrows before finally opening my eyes. I've got a washcloth on my forehead that's still cold, my forehead is still warm.
I take in my surroundings and see I'm in Chris' room. Everything looks exactly the same. Of course Chris wouldn't change anything, he likes things a certain way.
I look for him, but it looks like I'm alone in the room. I slip out of the bed and stumble my way in to his in-suite bathroom.
I probably haven't gone to the bathroom since I left Katy's house yesterday, and I was exhausted. When I look in the mirror I gasp. I look so sick, I've got dark circles, and my face is pale. My forehead looks a little sweaty, however that might just be from the washcloth I had on.
I splash some water on my face and redo my messy bun so my baby hairs aren't sticking up in every direction.
Once I can get a handle on standing up, I make my way out of the room. I follow the voices I hear, which I'm assuming is coming from the kitchen.
"Where do you think she was this whole time?"
"Honestly, I have no idea. I never thought to think she was somewhere, I just- I can't believe she's here."
"Oh my god! What if she was kidnapped and was held somewhere in the middle of nowhere and managed to escape and that's why she was so sick!"
"Scott keep it down you're gonna wake her up."
I poke my head around the corner and I step in to the kitchen.
"Hey guys."
Their heads snap towards me. They have their mouths hanging open and they stare at me.
"She's real right?" Chris asks Scott.
"I see her too."
I give them a little smile, "I'm real. I swear."
I take another step closer to them until I'm right in front of Chris.
"I'm sorry."
Chris stares at me still in shock, mouth gaping. His eyebrows furrow, he lets out a breath almost in relief, and pulls me in.
"I'm sorry," I finally cry, leaving a wet stain on his chest.
"I'm so sorry Chris, I missed you so much. I'm sorry."
He held on to me, as if I was just going to disappear again. I clutched on to his shirt and I let the tears flow.
He pulls back and stares at me, "I missed you so much Liv, you have no idea."
"I know, I missed you so much. I- I should have never left."
He lets out a sigh.
"I can't even imagine what actually happened, and as much as I want to know, we need to get some food in to you. We can deal with the rest later, I'm just so relieved you're alive."
I nod as he pulls away and starts to reheat what looks like chicken noodle soup.
Scott waves from the other side of the island.
