"I love you too, Mama." Napahinga ako ng malalim at dumiin ang hawak ko sa phone. "Mama..."
Mama laughed. [Are you ready tell me now? I know you want to say something, I'm just waiting...] Napakagat ako ng labi. I'm not really good in keeping secrets. My heart is heavy from denying and lying about Saxton but what can I do? Ayoko lang mawala sa akin si Saxton.
"Nasaan po si Papa Tulog na po ba siya?" Hindi pwede malaman ni Papa to dahil tiyak na pagbabawalan niya lang ako and I remembers Mama's word. She said it's fine If I will have a boyfriend.
[Nako anak...] I can already imagine Mama's face grinning at me and I suddenly miss her and want to hug her, if only she is here. [Your lucky. Your Papa is a hardworking man and because he started to have little white hairs he is now in our bed. Snoring with his mouth wide open.]
With father's effort and dedication, our business soar high and of course with my mother's help. Ang maliit na kompanya na iniwan ng magulang ni Papa ay napalago. Their management is another key for the success. My parents believe that the success behind this beside from them is the employee. I watch how they give the good treatment to our employees.
The salary is good and the atmosphere in the work is light. It is not stressful. The company will never be in stake if the employees is in good condition and working efficiently. Our company always hold this events for the benefits of employees where they can bring home something useful for their homes. And as a successor, I want to maintain and keep the company good for everyone. I want the company to soar higher so that I can bring more help to the people.
"Please tell Dad that I love him and take a break sometime." I said as I worry Dad will overworked his self for the construction. [Don't worry sweetie, your Mama is here to stop that old hag. Now can we talk about you?] She said teasingly.
I pouted. "Mama..." I paused deciding what to do or say.
[Yesss?] I do not know what she is thinking but she seems so excited. [Wait let me just go to the balcony, I might wake your father.] I heard her moving from the background and the sound of sliding doors.
"Promise me first Mama that you will not be angry and you will keep this for the meantime." I pleaded.
[I promised...promised so what is it? Come on spill the tea.] Her voice is laced with eagerness which made me tell her. I sighed. "I have a boyfriend Mama..." Nadagdagan ang kaba ko ng hindi sumagot si Mama.

Napakagat ako ng labi habang pinapakinggan ang sinasabi ni Mama. Her tone is serious that made me little regret of telling her. "M-Mama...I'm sorr-ry." My voice cracks.
She let out a sighed then laughed. [Oh darling I'm just messing around.]
"Mama!" I softly shouted. The nervousness and regret I felt earlier instantly vanished as I hear Mama's loud laugh.
[I thought he's just your friend darling. When did he court you? Did he give you flowers, chocolates, letters, and teddy bear? God! Don't tell me your room is full of those. Tell Calla-]
"No Mama! Its not him, its Saxton!" I loudly cutted her. Why they all assume that it is Callan? He's just my friend.
