*Scarlette's POV*

I drowned out the sound of Brendon Urie's voice and turned around.

"Hey, Scarlette? I'm sorry..." Jersey tapped me on the shoulder.

Alex got a bit defensive and stood next to me.

"Is there a problem?" Alex asked.

"Get lost, Gaskarth." Jersey shot back.

"She doesn't want to talk to you!" Alex stood in front of me.

"I'm not going to let you waste my time." Jersey rolled his eyes and walked away.

I let out a sigh of relief.

"I'll never let him get near you again." Alex glared at him.

"Calm down."

"Hey, how about we ditch this place?" Alex asked.

"Yeah, just let me grab my cake." I said and grabbed the whole box before leaving with Alex.

Alex and I opened door and Avery and Cass met us on the other side.

"We read your lyrics." Avery told me.

"Oh, yeah! I forgot about those! What do you think?"

"I think we can work with that." Avery winked.

Alex and I headed back upstairs.

"Hey, do you wanna go to my room?" Alex asked.

I was hesitant at first, but I trusted Alex. Then it hit me that I admitted in my head to liking Alex. Crap, this is going to be awkward.

"Oh, uh, sure..." I got really awkward. I mentally slapped myself.

Am I going to turn into Zack, now?!

"Are you okay? You're making weird faces..." Alex laughed.

"Er...Uh..."

"You look constipated!" Alex burst out laughing.

Oh god, that laugh, though... SHUT UP INNER ME UGH.

I laughed nervously and Alex opened the door to his hotel room.

"So, what do you want to do?" Alex asked.

"I didn't know you liked Panic! At the Disco!" That was random, but I just blurted it out.

"Oh, uh, they're ok." Alex shrugged his shoulders.

"You should play them!" I urged.

Now, I was mindlessly blurting out things... Ugh brain, whyyyyy?!

"I will!" Alex smiled, "I wanna see what it looks like outside first!"

Alex slid open the balcony door and we both walked outside to take in the city lights.

The cars were moving like a stampede of animals. They never stopped, they disappeared into more city lights. The tall buildings rose above them like neon trees, lighting up the path for those who wish to follow it.

I set my elbow on the railing and held my face up with my hand.

"I could stand here forever..." I muttered, deep in thought.

This was nothing compared to Baltimore...

"Me too." Alex replied.

I glanced at him. I'm not sure how I was supposed to feel. It was so easy for Jack and Avery to confess their feelings, but I guess that's because they're both outgoing people.
