*Alex's POV*

I took out the keys to my house and stepped in, turning on the lights and holding the door open for Scarlette.

"Your pink hair is fading." She said, breaking the silence.

"I know. I'm too lazy to go and get it re-dyed, though."

We walked in and sat on the couch.

"Do you want something to drink?"

"Just water, please." She replied.

I went to the kitchen and poured her a glass of water.

"Thanks."

The tension in the room was really awkward. I didn't really know what to say and I don't think she did either.

"Thanks for driving me to the party." I said, trying to make some sort of conversation.

"No problem. Thanks for inviting me." She replied.

"You're welcome. Oh, what are you and Jersey doing tomorrow?"

"How do you know about that?" She narrowed her eyes at me.

"Jersey said 'see you tomorrow' before we left."

"Oh. Well he said he was taking me out for ice cream tomorrow."

"What kind of ice cream do you like?" I decided to use this time to my advantage to find out more about Scarlette.

"Mint chocolate chip."

"That's cool. No pun intended." I replied. Scarlette giggled.

"If an ice cream place doesn't have mint or mint chocolate chip, I usually get peanut butter or cake batter flavored. And I don't share."

I laughed at that last part, "Never eat a girl's ice cream. Especially if it's Ben & Jerry's."

"Oh, I've never had Ben & Jerry's."

"What?! YOU'VE NEVER LIVED!"

"That's what Avery says to me." Scarlette laughed.

"Speaking of Avery, do you think her and Jack would make a good couple?"

"Well, I mean, I ship it."

I laughed, "You don't ship Jalex?"

"Javery is my only OTP."

"How'd you come up with Javery?"

"I have a Tumblr, you know. And a Twitter." Scarlette replied.

"You have a Twitter?!"

"Don't act so surprised. Everyone has a Twitter."

"Oh yeah..."

"You're so stupid!" She laughed and playfully punched me.

"You should follow me. Like right now."

"Okay, okay!" Scarlette giggled and took out her phone.

My phone buzzed with a notification that I had a new follower on Twitter. I followed Scarlette back and put my phone on my coffee table.

"So, do you wanna watch a movie or something?" I asked.

"What movie?"

"I have The Fifth Element on Blu-Ray."

"What's it about?"

"It's about a taxicab driver that tries to find these stones that help to protect the Earth from an attack."
