*Flashback*

~Three weeks before Senior Prom~

I saw Alex in the hallway, talking to a kid with a bowl haircut. I wouldn't consider myself a stalker, but since Alex's locker was seven down from mine, whenever he'd go to his locker, I'd stare at him. He was the most popular guy in school! But only because of his mega-popular girlfriend Elisa.

I never actually knew his name; he wasn't in any of my classes. His friends made fun of me a lot, though. The kid with the bowl-cut especially.

Avery was my only friend. The only one who would stick up for me. Whenever she'd be around and the bowl-cut guy would bully me, Avery would cuss him out.

One day at lunch, we made a nickname for him.

"It's hard calling him 'Bowl-cut Guy'. It's too long to say!" Avery took a bite out of her sandwich.

"How about...Bowl-Boy?" I said.

"It's stupid and uncreative. But it's easy to remember, so yeah, let's do it!" Avery gave me a high-five, "Even though he's pretty hot, looks don't matter when you disrespect my friends!"

"What's his real name, anyway?" I asked.

"I don't know..."

Alex walked by and threw his lunch away, my eyes following him the whole time.

"Scar, you shouldn't be in love with people you've never talked to." Avery said.

She knew how big of a crush I had on Alex. None of us knew his name, so we called him 'Bob'. We weren't very imaginative high schoolers.

"I know Ave, but what if he would just talk to me!"

"Hey, Senior Prom is coming in three weeks! You should ask 'Bob' out!" Avery suggested.

"He has a girlfriend!"

"Some guys don't take their girlfriends to prom, you know. Plus, you've never been to prom! I want you to be happy!" Avery patted me on the back.

"I'm too shy!" I said.

Avery rolled her eyes at me. When we stood up, Alex walked by us.

"Hey!" Avery shouted at him, "You there!"

Alex turned around and stared at both of us. I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack.

"You will go to prom with this girl!" Avery patted me on the back, "You will pick her up at 7:00 and drive her to school!"

I can't believe Avery did that! Now I'd be humiliated in front of everyone!

"Haha, okay!" 'Bob' said.

D-Did he really just say yes?!

"I'll talk to you later!" He said to me before walking away.

I gave him my address later that day, thinking that he'd actually come.

~Night Of Senior Prom~

My step-mom took me shopping for a dress and to get my hair done for the prom.

I got a beautiful purple dress with ruffles at the bottom and black heels that resembled sneakers. {A/N Picture of her outfit and her hair on the side}

After shopping, we went to the salon. The stylist crimped my hair a lot, but it surprisingly still went with my scene styled hair quite well. After a few hours, I finally came home.

"You look beautiful!" My dad said, "If only your mom were here to see you."

My mom died when I was eight years-old. We were a military family and my mom was overseas on a mission. She never came home.
