Marina's POV
I woke up with a pounding headache and a strangle feeling around my wrists. I tried moving them, but they wouldn't budge. With a start, I realized they were tied together with rope. I shook off the ache in my temple and scanned my surroundings.
I was in a darkly lit room with navy blue walls. There were two large windows on one wall, but the blinds were shut, so I couldn't get a good view of where we were. I saw a flicker of red in the corner of my eye. I turned around, expecting Everest, but instead, it was a russet colored wolf. Exactly the kind of wolf I saw in my dream.
"Well shit." I wasn't one for cussing, but this seemed like the time. My muttering aroused Everest the friendly wolf, or I hope she's friendly. The wolf raised its head and I was face to face with giant chocolate brown orbs. The eyes looked sad, and I noticed Everest was tied at the feet. Or should I say paws.
"Everest? Is that you?" I asked softly. EFW (Everest The Friendly Wolf) whined in return. I put my untied leg on her back and gently petted her, with my leg of course. Hey, my hands were tied. I'm hilarious.
"Isn't this touching?" A voice said from behind me. I removed my leg from Everest, and turned around, attempting to look hostile. Instead, I just got hair in my mouth. I couldn't use my hands to take it out, so I was left spitting my hair out and flailing around.
"What do you want with us?" I asked once I was done with removing my hair from my mouth.
"Well, at first, I didn't want you. I just needed access to Luna. You know Luna. Your old pal. She's an assassin. I didn't realize her two new friends had powers." This boy said, using his hands to gesture his plans.
"Powers? I don't do anything special." I said slowly.
"You don't know?" the stranger said. He threw his head back and have a loud laugh. His dark hair shook, and I noticed how straight and white his teeth were. One of his eyes was blue and the other was brown. He looked like a rich jerk who would use his charms to get what he wants, not someone stalking my friend. "You are a psychic. I have a feeling that's not the only thing supernatural about you."
"I'm not-" I stopped, remembering the odd dream. Have I had those before? I remember dreaming about a lot of things before they happened, but I dismissed it as a coincidence. "Oh."
"Yes. And your friend here is a lycanthrope. I have got quite a catch." He said, smiling sinisterly.
"How do you expect to get Luna?" I asked. He held up an iPhone. I looked closer and noticed the British flag on the back of the case. It was Everest's phone.
"I texted your friend. 'We are at 543 Juniper Avenue. Some guy picked us up in his car and won't let us leave. Please come help." he read aloud. I looked down, hoping Luna would ignore the text.
"How do you even know who she is? Who are you? How did you-" he cut me off with a click of his tongue.
"You ask far too many questions, my dear. I am an...old friend of Luna's. You can call me Caspar." He said, and tugged at the roots of his hair.
"Okay, Caspar. One last question. What are you going to do to Luna?" I asked, afraid of the answer.
"Oh, my dear, she's got a big storm coming." I widened my eyes and looked away. I wish he would stop calling me 'my dear'. Isn't he creepy enough?
A/N
Caspar is so mysterious. He's extremely fun to write. Expect more. I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
The song of this chapter is Window by: Fiona Apple. I feel that it represents Marina well.
