Luna's POV
It was common knowledge that if a werewolf bites a human, they become a vampire. Or at least, it was common knowledge to those who have studied magical creatures such as Werewolves, Vampires, Faeries, Warlocks, and so on. There is no stopping the change, and there is no controlling the unbearable pain it causes. So, with that, one could imagine how much fucking pain I was in at that moment.
At first, all I could do was stare as black spidery veins spread from the bite on my forearm Everest had made to the rest of my body like insects crawling over food. Out of my blurry vision I could see Caspar trying to rush to me, but Lacy held him back saying, "There's no helping now. You can't do anything."
The blackish veins started glowing softly, then disappeared as soon as they had come, leaving normal skin, but as pale as milk. The pain had died down, but suddenly I felt a tearing at my mouth, as if something was forcing its way out of my gums.
Of course... the fangs.....
I dropped to the floor like a stone, crying out in agony, then felt the worst pain imaginable in my chest. It was like an absence, as if something was missing, and there was. My heart had stopped beating. I had officially died.
Gradually, then pain died down and my body adjusted. I didn't need to breathe, but it was nice to, so I did it anyway. I took gulps of air and felt slightly refreshed, but still, I was just a little too..... dead.
My head was spinning, but I felt better so I looked up, and found everyone staring at me, looking scared to... well death.
"L-Luna?" Caspar stepped forward cautiously, and I nodded slightly, trying to tell him everything was okay, that I was fine. Clearly, I wasn't but it made him feel better.
"Yeah... yeah I'm here." He carefully helped me up, hugging me against his chest.
"Ummm... well that was interesting and all but can we you know... get out of here before these guys wake up?" Lacy asked, gesturing to the ten or so knocked out guys on the floor.
"Yeah. Let's go. Calum, you get Marina into the car. Lacy, get Everest," he told them. "I've got you okay?" He took the envelope from off the table and pocketed it, then carefully picked me up bridal style and led me to the car.
--------------------------------------------
With Everest and Marina knocked out, Calum being a douchebag, Lacy a socially awkward possibly-evil person, me having been just turned into a fucking vampire, and Caspar focusing his attention on the road, the ride was extremely quiet.
"Umm where are we going?" Lacy asked, breaking the silence.
"Prague," Caspar replied. "It's in Czechoslovakia."
"Well damn. I'm pretty sure we can't get there by car, Mr. I'm-The-Leader," Calum retorted.
"Actually, with Luna being all Vampirey and weak, I am the leader, so please pipe the fuck down because you are nowhere close to leading us," Caspar shot back.
Calum grumbled something that I couldn't make out, then sat back against his seat and was silent once more.
I placed a hand on my chest, desperately searching for a heartbeat, but found none in my cold, dead body. I felt tears well up in my eyes, and spill onto my cheeks. When I went to wipe them away, I saw they were tinged red. Blood.
Blood.
The word echoed through my head and I licked my lips. Blood. Holy shit I wanted blood. I needed blood.
I gripped the armrests on the seat hard, and Caspar must have noticed because he turned to me and asked, "Are you okay?"
I nodded in response and choked out, "Just.... Just a little hungry."
His eyes widened and he smacked himself in the face.
"Of course! Why didn't I think of that? Hold on I will get out some in a sec."
He pulled over to the side of the road and unbuckled his seat belt, then put his arm across the seats.
"Ummm I am not drinking your blood." I told him, but I felt the desire of his blood coursing through my not working veins. "Especially not here."
He rolled his eyes and opened the car door, then walked around to my side and opened mine.
"Then let's just go into the woods."
I heard a giggle from behind me and saw Lacy, winking, although it looked more like an eye spasm. I rolled my eyes at her.
"We will be back in a second." I told them, then followed Caspar into the woods.
Once we had gotten a few yards away and we couldn't see the car, Caspar stopped and faced me. "Just.. don't drink all of it."
I touched his shoulder and replied, "Are you sure your okay with this?" he just nodded.
"Oh... I suppose neck would be easier since wrist might-" I couldn't wait any longer. My body moved of its own accord and plunged my fangs into his neck, drinking hungrily. Blood filled my mouth, tasting sweet and savory. It was the most delicious thing I had ever eaten. Or in this case, drank.
He was tense, as if expecting to have to fight me off, but after a while he relaxed and pulled me closer, as if wanting me to keep drinking.
When I finally stopped, he looked at me with wide eyes.
"That.... was not what I expected...." he said, his cheeks flushed. "It was..... Pretty sexy."
I burst out laughing and grabbed his hand.
"Come on. Let's get back to the car. I don't want to see Calum making out with Everest's unconscious body."
A/n:
Well I hoped you liked the super eventful and sexy chapter. Yes I know. You're probably confused on why a werewolf can make a person a vampire. Honestly I don't know but it sounded cool so what the hell. Also, Luna and Caspar were getting it ooooooon. Wink wink. Nudge nudge.
