Luna's POV

I waved my hand over Everest's face, whispering softly words of magic. She let out a sigh and closed her eyes, falling into a dreamless sleep.

"Well that was eventful," Caspar said, poking me lightly on the nose.

"You guys are all fucking weirdos," Calum replied.

"Does that mean we are physically fucking weird people?" Lacy asked, causing us all to burst out laughing.

"I suppose. Anyways, how is this going to work? Are we bringing King Douchebag with us?" I said, then looked at Marina. She had been rather quite since Calum basically told her he never liked her in the first place.

She shrugged, then bit her lip, obviously holding back tears.

"Alright that's it." I said, standing abruptly and grabbed Calum by the back of his shirt, hauling him up beside me. "You are a fucking asshole. How dare you use her like that?" I asked him, then followed the question with a punch in the face.

His head snapped backward, and Marina let out a gasp of surprise.

I followed the punch with a kick to the ribs, when I felt two strong arms haul be back, keeping me trapped in their embrace.

"Not yet Luna,"Caspar whispered in my ear, making me shiver.

I let out a indignant huff and walked to the car, getting in the passenger side and slamming the door.

Stupid Calum. I can't wait to rip his head off with my bare hands.

I jumped as Caspar sat in the drivers seat, softly closing the car door.

"Hey. I know he's a douche but you need to calm down. We need to focus on Everest right now. We have to get to Eliana Fire. She will help us find Madam Genie," he told me.

"I know. it's just he can be so infuriating. And not in the cute sexy way like you," I added.

He winked at me and moved his hand to brush a lock of hair from my face. He tucked it behind my ear and cupped my cheek, practically beaming at me.

"Did you just call me sexy?" He asked, winking again but this time making it look like a facial spasm.

I laughed and replied, "You're only sexy when making that face."

We both chuckled at that, then fell into a peaceful silence.

"Maybe we should start driving again." Caspar said, rolling down the window.

I nodded in response and buckled my seat belt.

"HEY BITCHES GET IN THE CAR!" Cas yelled.

I heard grumbles in response but soon everyone had packed into the car, even Calum, which stuck Marina awkwardly in the middle of the backseat.

Caspar started the car and drove off. i toggled with the radio for a bit, but only could find a few country stations. After listening to an unbearable belting of awful lyrics, the song switched to a familiar tune.

"OH YAS THIS IS MY JAM!" yelled Caspar, taking both hands off the wheel and throwing them into the air.

"SHE THINKS MY TRACTOR's SEXYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. IT REALLY TURNS HER OOONNNNN." he sang, causing all of us to laugh hysterically.

After the song finished, we turned off the radio to make sure no more country could play. Country was the worst.

We sat in silence, until finally I couldn't take it anymore.

"ALRIGHT MISS EVEREST," I yelled, causing Everest to sit up in the very back, eyes widened in alarm.

"Umm yes?" She asked.

"I CAN DO SOOOO MUCH BETTER ON THE TINY TIM IMPRESSION FOR YOUR INFORMATION." I told her, and Marina perked up and said,

"YEAH ME TOO. COME ON LUNA LET'S SHOW HER!"

We broke out into song and when we finished Everest was in a fit of giggles, since I may or may not have pulled out a ukulele and played along.

Caspar nodded, then said, "Yeah they did so much better than you Everest."

She huffed but smiled, then promptly fell asleep from exhaustion.

"Well. That was..... interesting," Lacy said.

"Yes. Yes it was," Calum replied.

"Nobody asked for your opinion, you ignorant prat," she remarked, turning away and looking outside, once again plunging the car into silence.

Ah, awkward car rides were the best.
