The One With A Lot Of Yelling

Marina's POV

It was my turn to drive. The sky was dark and there were barely any stars visible. It was difficult for me to drive, considering the images that flashed in my mind.

I still remember seeing Luna with fangs on her throne, and Lacy whipping a body. The scary thing is, I think Luna saw what I saw. That makes absolutely no sense, but her face was pure terror.

My eyebrows furrowed, and I kept asking myself questions. What is happening to me? How am I psychic? if I didn't deliver Luna's pizza, none of this would have happened.

My mind was still in deep thought when I heard moans coming from the back to the van. At first I thought it was Luna and Caspar getting it on, but I soon realized it was Everest. Her pain must be unbearable.

I saw a figure walking on the side of the road. Besides us, the road was completely empty. I felt bad for this person because we were in the middle of no where. In my head, I though of the pros and cons of picking up a helpless hitch-hiker. Eventually, my morals overruled everything.

I slowed the car down. The passenger's seat was empty, so I rolled down the window.

"Hello, do you-" I stopped in my tracks. I know those curls. Those thoughtful eyes. The eyes I fell in love with.

"Calum?" I whispered harshly. Standing before my was my boyfriend. Dirt layered his skin and his eyes were red. I suddenly remembered Luna was sent to kill him. What did he do to deserve that?

"MARINA! Thank god! I've been stuck out here for god knows how long." Calum said, opening the door to the van and inviting himself in.

"Uhh...guys? We have a visitor." I said, waking everyone up from their slumber.

All six of us sat on the side of the road. We sat down on a raggedy blanket we found in the trunk. Calum sat visibly farther away from everyone.

"So...Calum. This is Luna." I pointed to the brunette who gave a timid smile. "That's Caspar, Luna's boyfriend." Caspar simply nodded. "Lacy is Caspar's sister." Lacy didn't give Calum a glance. "And this is Everest." Everest was actually awake and doing relatively fine. The magic sure was kicking in.

Calum looked into Everest's eyes. His mouth opened slightly. I knew that look. That was completely starstruck. I probably had the same look on my face when I looked at Calum.

"Hello. I'm Calum." Calum said charmingly and scooted very close to Everest. Much closer than necessary.

"I know, Marina already said that." Everest said, giving Calum a look that made him back away.

Great, now I'm going to be the loner. All I have is Lacy. She must have realized this too because she gave me a side glance.

"Calum. Can you explain why Luna here was assigned to kill you?" Lacy asked bluntly.

"You were- what?" Calum was utterly surprised. He scooted away from Luna who sat beside him. Calum seemed to be doing quite a lot of scooting.

"Luna is an assassin. And she has magical powers." I said, not meeting Calum's eyes.

"Is there anything else I should know?!" Calum asked incredulously.

"I'm a psychic, Caspar and Lacy are also assassins and Caspar has magic. Oh, and Everest is a werewolf." I explained.

"Since when were you a psychic?" His eyes widened so much that it looked like his eyes were going to pop out of his head.

"Since when were you a douchbag?" I yelled back. Lacy held up her hand and I high-fived it.

"Oh, I'm a douchebag?" Calum's face began to turn bright red, "I'M THE DOUCHEBAG HERE? YOU'RE THE ONE WHO DISAPPEARED! I'VE BEEN CALLING YOU! NO ONE KNEW WHERE YOU WENT! YOU'RE SUCH A FUCKING BITCH, YOU COULD'VE CALLED ME BACK!" Yeah, Calum had a temper.

"DO NOT CALL HER THAT!" Caspar yelled.

"OH, SO NOW YOU'RE FUCKING HIM TOO?" Calum yelled at me, and I shrunk back into the ground.

"JUST BECAUSE I KNOW NOT TO YELL AT GIRLS DOESN'T MEAN I HAD SEX WITH THEM!" Caspar screamed. Luna had muttered something causing Calum to appear to be wrapped in chains.

"LET ME GO RIGHT NOW! THIS ISN'T FAIR! I NEVER EVEN LIKED YOU MARINA!" Calum spat. I was done with his yelling.

I walked straight up to him and said, "Life isn't fucking fair."

And that's when I slapped him.

Damn, that's a lot of yelling. Don't hate Calum that much, he has his reasons.
