The One Where Everest Goes Crazy

Everest's POV

Though I was slightly going crazy, I could still tell that Eliana Fire's house was not normal. For starters, it was bigger on the inside. Timelord magic. But, only Timelords had Timelord magic. Maybe she was a Timelord. But, there was only one Timelord left- The Doctor. She must be The Doctor! Eliana Fire was The Doctor! (Remeber- I was going crazy)

So, when she, startled by the loud group of teenagers that didn't knock and just barged into her house, appeared out of thin air, I asked, "We have come for The Doctor. Are you The Doctor?" Then I burst into a fit of giggles, and I said, "Are you my mummy?" (Doctor Who reference). Luna and Caspar looked apologetic, while Marina looked concerned, while Calum looked embarrassed, while Lacy just looked away. I don't know why.

I examined her room, with the purple veils, and mysterious potions, and testubes, and cauldrons. This was what I expected from someone with a name like Madame Genie, not someone with such a cool name as Eliana Fire, or The Doctor. I pondered the possibility that this lady was a witch.

Then it hit me. A coconut! It fell from the ceiling. Coconuts don't just fall from the ceiling. It must have been Luna. I looked at her mockingly angry. Hah! A coconut! She's so funny. She looked confused. I looked down at the coconut, but it was gone. I guess it was never really there. Oh well.

It was about then that I collapsed, and Caspar ran over to grab me. "You have a girlfriend," I scolded him. He just sighed and put me down. Eliana looked concerned. Marina looked worried.

Luna and Caspar and Eliana were talking. Eliana nodded. She pointed. Luna nodded. Eliana wrote something down.

I suddenly felt a familiar feeling, one I got every full moon. The Change. Except I couldn't control it at all this time. I Changed faster than I ever had before. Eliana looked shocked. "Oh yeah. She's a werewolf," I heard Luna say. I tried to giggle-of course I was a werewolf. Wasn't it obvious? But the giggle came out as a snarl. Calum was pale. He was against a far wall. Silly him- I was EFW. Everest the Friendly Werewolf. I wouldn't hurt him. Then, I howled, and Eliana grabbed something-a gun.

Caspar objected, "NO! The gun shot wound would make it worse. And we can't risk using any magic on her yet-we don't know if it will speed up the spread of the poison." Eliana just put the gun down in agreement. Good-I did not want to get shot again.

Luna tried talking to me, "Everest, we are your friends, so calm down. You don't want to hurt us. Change back now. I know you can do it, you've done it before."

And I did Change back, but it wasn't really my doing. It was uncontrollable. One minute, I was a wolf, and the next, I was human.

To add to this very climatic moment, Lacy screamed as a man with a machete slashed her arm. He stormed into the room. Then more men came trailing behind him. I had a few moments of peace as a human.

In those few seconds, they grabbed Eliana and shot her with her own gun. I didn't see where it hit her, but I heard her scream.

Then, they shot me, and everything was red. I saw one man attack Luna and Caspar (wrong move) and they beat the shit out of him. However, Marina was being surrounded by men, and they were all punching and kicking her because none of them had knives. Otherwise, she would probably be dead.

The room went dark and lightning struck the building. Was that my imagination? No, now all the evil men were lying on the ground. Caspar, Luna, and Lacy each went around, sending the men into unconscious, but not killing them. They were still human.

The Change began again. I kept switching between human and wolf form. I could no longer distinguish the shapes in front of me. I heard Luna say, "Grab the envelope on her coffee table. It has the address we need."

I heard Calum shriek- "She's DEAD!" I hoped he didn't mean Marina. Luckily, I heard Caspar say, "I need to heal Marina. Lacy, you get the envelope instead." Which meant Marina wasn't dead yet. Which also mean that Eliana Fire was dead.

I didn't know where Luna went- I was completely blind by now. Why wouldn't she get the envelope herself? She must have had other things to do. I heard footsteps approaching. Oh shit. Was it one of the evil guys? Out of desperation, I bit the air. Except, it was not the air. I felt skin. I heard a scream. Luna's scream.
