Luna's POV

"Shit shit shit shit shit."

I paced back and forth at the foot of Everest's bed, basically having a panic attack. Caspar stood in the corner, looking pale.

"I thought I healed her.... but I didn't think there was poison since we AREN'T SUPPOSED TO USE POISON" he shouted at Lacy. She looked down.

"I... It was an accident I swear! I just accidentally brought it. It must've been right next to my other knives and I picked that one up." she said.

Everyone looked disappointed, but clearly believed her, except me. I knew Lacy well and from what I have learned over the past SIXTEEN YEARS is that she does not make mistakes. She may have felt bad about it, but it was no mistake that she had that poison knife.

I decided to push that thought away, since my friend was, you know, DYING. Her eyes were fluttering and she let out small noises of pain once in a while, causing my heart to beat faster and faster.

The Commander stood up from where she had been examining Everest and turned to me.

"It is Lemlas poison. This has only one cure, but not in this world. Or at least, it does not grow in this world. There may be someone who has it, however. Her name is Madame Genie. I do not know where she is, but I know someone who can help find her."

For some reason, the name of that poison sounded familiar. Caspar, Marina, and I all stepped towards her, ready to leave as soon as possible. Lacy looked eagerly but knew we wouldn't allow her with us.

"Tell us where." Caspar said, running his hand (very sexily) through his hair.

"Her name is Eliana Fire. She lives in Texas." She grabbed a pen and a piece of paper from off my desk and wrote down something. She handed it to Caspar. "It's the address. Find her. She might be able to find Madame Genie. Until then, I can slow the poison so Everest can come with you. It might be painful, but she should be able to withstand it."

The Commander turned to Everest and did some weird magicky thing that made absolutely no sense to anyone in the room, and Everest gasped and sat up.

Her eyes were bright and she looked weak, but she smiled and said, "I heard everything. I was halfway unconscious but I could still understand you guys. So. When are we leaving?"

Caspar and I looked at one another and shrugged.

"I suppose now. But you guys should probably pack some stuff... Why don't you go home and get your stuff and meet back here at six tonight." I said.

Marina and Everest nodded.

"Luna will drive, she's the only one I trust fully." The Commander said. They exited and left Caspar, Lacy, and me standing awkwardly.

Lacy shifted her feet then exclaimed, "I'm just going to go... umm... go." She walked out and left Caspar and I staring at each other.

"So... off on another adventure. This should be fun," he laughed. I nodded in agreement and sat on the edge of the bed, putting my head in my hands. Caspar sat next to me and rubbed my back. "It'll be fine. Don't worry. We will save her. I promise." He kissed my cheek, and I smiled.

"I hope so... I don't want to lose her. She sounds like she's a really great friend." He nodded.

"I'm sure she is. Now, come on. We have a few hours to kill."

I turned to him, smiling, and pressed my lips to his. My eyes closed, and the world drifted away.

Helllooooooo. Sorry I haven't written in a while. I haven't had any good ideas and can't seem to write anything. Isn't that writer's block? Anyways I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Also, don't worry. I'm going to develop Lunar (Luna and Caspar) better but it'll take work. And what relationship is perfect without a twist? ;)
