"Alrighty, we got 23 plague victims and 12 possible future victims. New record, eh William?"

"Gotta say, Lancer, it was better with our 'new buddy' Kirby..."

"Heck yeah, kudos to Kirby!"

Kirby could detect the sarcasm from William. He knew that the guy didn't like Kirby that much, but then he thought if he became friends with him, it would be easier to get back home. So, Kirby cut off the tuff of his Sword Hat and put it beside William.

"Hee, poyo! (Here, a gift!)"

"...What's this?"

"Poyo, outua, gifu. (Well, once I get out of here, I thought I'd leave you a little gift.)"

"...I can't understand what you're saying."

"Well William," Lancer interupted, "I've heard the scientists are making a device to understand any outsider language. It could probably work with Kirby. Really wonder what he's saying now?"

"Poyo, Poyo! (Well, aren't we gonna give this information to the Commander?)" Kirby gestured this by taking the papers and pointing at them.

"Right, right, the papers. You'll love Commander Jameson, she's one of toughest people I know," said Lancer.

"And frankly, stronger than my mom," responded William, laughing.

All three guys started to laugh, and tried to keep their laughter when submitting the papers. Unfortunately, Kirby couldn't keep it in, and someone mistook it for a plague victim.

"Hey, what's that noise?" the man asked.

"N- nothing! We were just going to submit today's information on the Watson and Figueroe intersection..." As Lancer said this, he quickly hid Kirby behind him. The Pink Puffball was confused about why he had to stay hidden, as he now perfectly understood that everyone was nice in this world... almost.

"Lancer," the man said, "we can't tolerate foolish behavior here! Now isn't the time to joke during a full on war! What would the commander say?"

"I know, I know, but..."

"Look, any more of this nonsense, and I'm reporting this. Got it?"

"Yes, sir." Lancer and William nodded. Once the man left, Kirby returned to the front.

Lancer kind of understood why Kirby was confused, so he tried to explain while they were going to Command Jameson's Office.

"You see Kirby, not everyone knows about you," explained Lancer, "me and William, our secret is safe. However, every solider here won't believe that you're back, since you're kinda... how do I put this?"

"Dead," William interupted.

"De- Deushu? (De- Dead?)" Kirby asked.

"Eeeehhh, it's more like un-hyped. Even if you were friends with everyone in this HQ, I don't have to leave you alone with that monster Day..."

"Ugh, tell me about it. Kirby," said William, "Day is a... frenemy of ours. He's, uh, really wanted around these parts." This "Day" person kinda sounds like Dedede, Kirby thought. Then he started to wonder about the voice again. Would this voice start bringing his own friend to this "Republic" world? And would they help Kirby get themselves back home?

"Kirby," said Lancer, as they were walking closer to the office, "NONE of the Republic knows what Day looks like, but if you feel or even THINK you see him, tell us. Here."

Lancer then handed Kirby another kind of strange device.

"Poyo? (Huh?)"

William tried to explained. "That's a walkie talkie, Kirby, though I'm sure you don't know how to use it."

"William," Lancer dissapointingly said, "he used a phone in Crystal Shards and Amazing Mirror, I'm sure he knows how to use a walkie talkie, don't you, Kirby?" Kirby then nodded happily at Lancer, and hid it under his Sword Hat.

"Alright, Kirby," said William, "get behind me and Lancer. It'll take long to properly introduce Commander Jameson to your pink bastard soul-less body."

"Eshu, poyo. Defora! Poyo... (Eh, I usually get called even dimension destroying things. Like Defeator of Novas! That was a good one.)" Kirby quickly got behind Lancer and William, and all three entered the Office. Kirby heard a voice speak then.

"So... was there any good reason as to why you came into my office, you two?"
Kirby thought, wait, KNEW, it was Commander Jameson, the woman who was leading some of the strange men, who he now knew were called "soldiers." This, of course, included Lancer and William.

"Well," Lancer tried to explain, "we were doing our shifts at the intersection between Watson and Figueroe, and we came across something that might help us in our little war between the Colonies, and possibly, even help us find out who Day is!"

"Lancer, for the last time, I know we're trying to find Day," said the Commander, "but your 'nothing-ness' won't help us in anything. Show me what could possibly help us at a time like this, or you're demoted on the spot."

"Kirby?" asked Lancer. Kirby was literally dumbfounded. He had no idea why, despite William saying that it would take long, they were already going at a full speeds. Still, he nodded at Lancer. and went up to introduce himself.

"Huh...?"

"Mugen no chikara o motsu, densetsu no HIIROO... (The legendary heeeeeerrooo, with un- limited powwweeerrrr...)" Kirby was happy to introduce himself to the lady. Jameson? She wasn't delighted to meet the marshmellow.

"Wha- what's that beast? What is it doing here and why?"

"Well, Commander Jameson," William explained, "this is a new creature we found with, I gotta admit, some impressive fighting skills. Lancer here thinks it would be a good idea, which I heavily don't think it is..." Lancer bumps his elbow at William. "...to teach this pink... THING, to track down Day, and help us with our war."

"Well, we would need someone to track down Day..." Jameson was considering letting Kirby help, but she wasn't so sure. "Alrighty, then, uh, what's his name?"

"Kirby!" he said, as he showed his sword with all it's might!

"Alright then, Kirby," Commander Jameson said, "You have a chance to prove yourself. We're sending some soldiers to the Hospital to check on everything, and we want you to help our top soldier to make sure everything's alright. Got it?"

Kirby nodded at her request. His first step on resolving the war and getting back home! But, was this the right step? Still, Kirby thought that he should toughen it up, he need some more fight, to be honest.

"Well that's great, Kirby!" Lancer said, "but you're gonna need something more than a sword."

"That's right," Jameson said, "he's gonna need some REAL weapons than that." She then pushed a button for the intercom.

"Metias Iparis, please report to the Armory. We have a new... recruit today."

"Alright Kirby," said Lancer, "our first mission-"

"Stop right there, Lancer," William interrupted, "I feel like Kirby here has had enough 'experience' on these so called 'adventures' he had. Shouldn't he go out on his own right now?"

"Yeah, I guess you're right..." Lancer looked at Kirby. "Could we talk outside?"

"Poyo... (Yeah...)"

Both of them went out to talk.

"Look, I know you've killed countless amounts of monsters, but I'm just worried about you. If you have a problem for ANY reason, use your walkie talkie. Got it?"

"Poyo, poyo! (Got it, I'm sure I'll return!)" Kirby nodded.

"Lancer, what are you waiting for?" asked William, "Go get Kirby to the Armory!"

"Yes, yes, the Armory. Come on, Kirby."

"Poyo... (Alrighty...)"

Although Kirby was exposed to the Commander, he still had to hide behind Lancer on the way to the Armory, since he's still just unknown from everyone else.

"Poyo, Day? (So, who is this Day person really?)"

"Day? To be honest, he's a criminal here. Boy, let me tell ya, assult, arson, theft, what wouldn't this guy do?"

This 'Day' was starting to remind Kirby of Daroach. But, how bad could this Day person really be?

"Heh, let's just hope he doesn't destory your equipment, how do you get rid of that sword anyway?"

Kirby then swallowed his sword, and shot it in a nearby trash can. It turned into a star, and when it reached the bottom, it evaporated.

"Woah, that's impressive!"

"Poyo. (Well, I wouldn't really call it that.)"

"Welp, we're here. You go ahead and meet Metias, while I head back with my own job with William. I'm gonna miss ya, Kirby."

"Poyo... (I'm gonna miss you too...)"

Lancer gave a hug to Kirby, and he hugged him back.

"I'll seen you another day, Kirby..."

Kirby waved goodbye at Lancer and entered the Armory. He heard some talking from a man with a device. It almost looked like a walkie talkie.

"So," the man said, "who's this new recruit?"

"He should be in there by now, although he is different from the others." That sounded like Commander Jameson, Kirby thought.

"How different?"

Kirby then couldn't take it. He shouted "Hiiii!" while revealing himself from the door.

"Huh," the man said, "if it's this weird pink thing I'm seeing right now, then that's got to be more different than everything I've seen in my life.
