Bandana Dee

"He betrayed me," I angrily say, as I walked away from the team. Nobody dares to follow me. I'm on my own for once.

To be honest, I haven't traveled out of anger before. Something about the trees and apples made me happy, but now, thinking about them around a big city just brings me back to that pink traitor.

I walk around the streets, looking for food. I've heard that some of my REAL friends are around, selling some stuff. I wonder if I can get it for free by showing my cuteness. It's currently night time, and the Jumbotrons are glowing. Day's been captured, but I ignore it. I can't help anyone if my best friend betrated me, since we would be strong with eachother. Instead, I locate the Chinese-themed bar me and Day went to before. The attendent isn't there, but replacing his position was a Rolling Pawn. Same Warp-Star shaped button, and it seems like he's from the Popopo Islands. I mumble hi to him, and all he does is move out of the way.

"Come on in, Bandana," he said.

I'm kinda spooked that this guy knows my name, but I play along with it. I enter the bar, and I see nothing but a lonely Chef Kawasaki, cleaning a cup. I run to the counter, and greet Kawasaki.

"Where's everyone?" I ask.

Kawasaki sighs, then responds to me. "Don't bother. This 'Day' guy is apparently a big outlaw, and just recently got arrested." 

My cheeks fill with anger as I hear that, but I pull myself back to position. I let Kawasaki continue.

"Everyone was given a day off to celebrate his upcoming sentence to death. I'm not like that, y'know?" He pulls out a sherbet out of his vest. "Sherbert?"

I kindly decline by shaking my head.

"You seem down, Bandana, anything wrong?"

"Kirby betrayed me! I don't know how to put it into words, but he BETRAYED me!" I'm shouting now.

"Woah, woah, calm down! It's ok, it's okay!" The smooth voice of Kawasaki calms me down in an instant. Man, I remember back when my food used to get delivered as a child. Kawasaki was always the one who visited my house and gave me my food. As a thanks, I'd always invite him in, or somewhere fun. Those were the times. Now, I'm stuck here, talking with my NEW best friend, while everyone else is off.

"Well, what about Kaede?" I ask.

"She met Meta Knight a few minutes before. He was searching for you with some of his crew. Thought they would be a big help, so she took them in. Have no idea where they are now." Kawasaki goes back to washing the dishes. 

I still have some anger from my voice, but it's barely noticable with the excitement from the news I just heard. "Meta Knight is here, and it's possible that Dedede might be here too?!""

"The one and only!"

Who needs Kirby, anyways?! I got Meta Knight, Dedede, AND Kawasaki, my REAL friends, here to save me. Although, I wonder how we're gonna get back...

A sort of clock alarm rings. "Welp, looks like it's time for MY break, if everyone were still here. You able to settle on your own?" Kawasaki asks me.

"Thanks, but I'm sure I'll be fine," I insist.

"Alrighty, but take this as a gift." He takes his chef's hat, somehow folds it up to a heart, and puts it on my hands. I aww as he gives it to me. Before I can respond, he's already gone.

I move outside, currently trying hard to find Meta Knight. Nothing. I think I see an Axe Knight. Nothing. A pair of Mace Knights walk behind me, I turn, nothing. I worry about what could happen, as Meta Knight might be actually trying to betray me.

Then I'm thrown into a bag again. This again?

It takes a long time for me to get out again. Darkness is up for a full minute until the lights turn on. I'm in some kind of strange room. In front of me, is Kaede.

"Yo, Mets!" she shouts, "Dee's awake."

I tiredly keep my eyes open as Meta Knight walks towards me with a Blade Knight.

"Bandana," Meta Knight says worringly, "What were you doing out there?"

I give him a confusing look. "Wh- where's Dedede?"

"We split up. What were you doing out there?"

"I- I had a feud with Kirby..."

"What?" Meta Knight seems shocked. "What happened?"

I explain everything to him. Day, Ms. Iparis, Tess, and basically everything me and Kirby went up to until we had that fight.

"So," Blade Knight joins, "You worried about this 'Day' person?"

"Kay." Meta Knight is talking to Kaede. Seems like they set some nicknames for each other. "Remind me who Day is again?"

"The guy who's gonna die in about a week?" She responds, laying on the wall.

"Hmm..." Blade Knight continues, "If you can give us ONE good reason as to why we should save this 'Day,' Meta Knight will help."

I'd expect Meta Knight to shout at Blade, but instead he just nods, like he's a part of this.

"Well," I start, "for starters, Day saved me from the lack of air in the sewers. He also promised me to find Kirby, and he did." I then give a angry look when I speak this next part. "That was, until Kirby and his female friend followed us, and revealed Day's true self to her. I don't wanna even look at that pink idiot anymore."

It's all Meta Knight wants to hear. Kirby is safe, he would think, if I were him. He then speaks up.

"Listen, Bandana. Blade Knight joined the Republican Army to sneak in and give us information between me, Dedede, and Magalor..."

I try to make a image of Magalor there, helping Kirby, but with my recent anger for that pink bastard, I can't do it.

"...if you were able to walk with him with this extra helmet he was able to catch, they'll believe that you're a soldier, too. I want you to visit Kirby and make sure he's safe."

Anger comes out of my eyes, but Meta Knight raises his sword, like he's about to kill me.

"Bandana, I know how much you hate Kirby now, but he's basically the only person we can trust. Please. Go with Blade."

At this point, Blade is already near the door, with my helmet.

"Fine," I reply. "And hopefully Kirby does more than a single sorry for what he's done."
