Kirby's POV (Republic - Streets)

Opening his eyes, Kirby is surprised to see himself on a seat in the HQ, with his equipment all ready.

"Poyo? Poyo- (Wha? How did I-)"

There's were two notes beside Kirby's chair. He picked the first one up and read it.

 "Kirby
           You must've had a sleep, huh? Almost 172800 seconds (two days) must've been a normal sleep for a tough guy like you! Anyways, you're here because today's the day you and June try to capture Day. Although I'm SURE a pink puffball like you who killed a clay monster with an eye would be able to do it himself, sometimes you'll need an ally!

 P.S. I left a little treat to munch on!

Inside the note was a candy bar, seemingly similar to the ones found in Dream Land, but WAY better. As Kirby happily chowed down on the bar, he opened the other note, but it didn't seem that friendly.

"THIS LETTER IS ONLY VISIBLE TO YOU" the cover read.

Kirby became a bit scared, but he still bravely opened the note.

 "PINK THING.

                  SO... YOU HAVE SURVIVED. I FIND THIS VERY INTERESTING TO MY FINDINGS. I SEE YOU ARE COOPERATING WITH THIS... GIRL... TO TRACK DOWN THIS BOY. CORRECT?"


Kirby didn't respond, but then the note changed.

"I SAID IS THAT CORRECT?"

Out of worry, Kirby shook his head. "Yea, Yea!"

"REMEMBER WHAT I HAVE SENT YOU HERE FOR. REMEMBER THAT THIS IS ALL TO KNOW WHAT HAS GOOD AND WHAT HAS BAD. AS YOU TRACK DOWN THE BOY, JUST ASK YOURSELF: AM I DOING RIGHT? I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND THIS, PINK."

                                                                                                       N. M. V."

The note then suddenly dissapeared, but the question still went through Kirby's brain.

"Am I Doing Right?"

The door to the left opened. Out came some kind of girl, possibly the one Jameson assigned Kirby.

"You must be Kirby Puffball, correct?" She was wearing exactly something to hide in the shadows, and for a second, Kirby mistook here for his Shadow Form. 

"Poyo... (Yeah...)" Kirby shook his head, in confussion.

"Look, Kirby, I don't feel like catching Day at this point, I mean, I already lost my brother and..."

Kirby looked at the girl with sadness as she said that. Metias, pretty much one of the first people to become Kirby's friend. Kirby could understand the girl's pain.

"Seems like you met him too, didn't ya?" She petted Kirby, and he felt a bit better. "You know, seeing how we both knew him in some way, I think we could work out to capture Day."

Kirby smiles, then looks at a map on the wall. It supposenly was a layout of the entire universe Kirby was in, and it looked similar to Shiver Star. Kirby couldn't help but notice the similarities. The girl notices Kirby looking at the map.

"That's where we are, right there." She points at the map, but Kirby can't comprehend which part it's at. 

"Oh yeah, I haven't introduced myself yet, my name is..."

"Ju? (June?)"

"You got it close, buddy." She pats Kirby one more time. "C'mon, we gotta get out to lure Day in."

"Poyo! (Alrighty!)"

The two went on to the streets, still night, finding a good place to lure Day in. As they kept walking, Kirby noticed some kind of figures around an alleyway... it looked like Bandana Dee, but he couldn't quite put a finger on it. He went to approach the figure, but...

"Kirby! C'mon!"

So Kirby kept going, but still tried to figure out what the heck is was. Eventually, the two found the perfect spot to find him: The Arcadia bank. The one where Day once broke into in 10 seconds, with four guards, tough as Gordos.

Our duo kept waiting and waiting, and Kirby was still trying to figure out what the figure was. Not to mention, but there was recently a waddle dee revolt from Dream Land about a month ago, and long story spoiler-free short, the leader was a waddle dee. Something about the leader must've made it come here, but that reason was only number 4 on Kirby's list. Even when someone came to the room and rewired the speakers June had, he still wondered...

What the heck was that near the alley?

Despite that question, Kirby hasn't bothered to think about Day, since the duo only heard breathing. Kirby was about to drift off to sleep until...

"What do you want for the cure, cousin?"

June shoved Kirby to listen, since he was close enough to listen to the speakers too. Kirby only listened up because he thought he heard Bandana Dee's voice.

"Poyo? (Bandana?)" Kirby said, silently.

June just kept talking into the microphone"What do I want? It depends, do you..."

Kirby looked up to see someone, and swore there was a little bump near the room. 

A Waddle Dee head. He's here. Kirby waved at the figure, but it quickly went back in panic.
Confused, Kirby tried to go around and fly up the bank, but June pulled him back. Unfortunately, Kirby tried to investigate for a bit too long, so he barely heard anything, only static silence.

Then, the earpiece rings again.

"Puffball? Iparis? Are you two there?" Jameson asked.

"Poyo! (Heya!)"

"He left. But he gave me clues."

"Poyo? Poyo... (What clues? I didn't pay attention...)" Kirby looked back up.

"Tipped him off about whom your work for, didn't you? Well, it's your first time on a mission, and also on a duo with that pink thing, so I guess it's fine," Commander Jameson continued, "I'll have the recordings at any rate. See you back at Batalla Hall."

The duo then stood there for a minute. Just when the the headpiece called off, the voice appeared in Kirby's head again.

"Kirby..."

Kirby was about to speak, but the voice interupted him.

"No! Don't! Listen, I don't want anyone to find out about me, ok? Anyways, I sense someone had joined you. It COULD be different, since I sense a new portal opening and closing."

Kirby looked in disbelief.

"I feel like Chef Kawasaki has now joined you here, but forced by a metal-like thing. The portal quickly closed itself, just like the one that put you here. Meanwhile for Kawasaki, I feel he's somewhere... safe. Don't worry about him, it's just that... he's been created by a Friend Heart."

Friend Heart? That wouldn't be possible, Kirby was the only one capable of summoning Friend Hearts, and only about 4 friends would possibly be able to stay alive. Unless...

"I'll give more details later. Seems like your friend is trying to get you to move."

Kirby feels a slight nudge from a hand.

"Come on, lets get back," June told Kirby.

Kirby follows her, but then they feel something behind them. They both glance back, and see nothing, but some scarf. Kirby reconized the scarf from Bandana's spear, and quickly flashes a imagine of him and Banadana, back when they beaten Dedede's Cake Tournament... Meanwhile, June didn't care, but Kirby still wondered, and then asked himself...

Who's forcing his friends to this world and why?
