Ms. Iparis' plan worked.

At least a few minutes into the investigation, an electro bomb explodes and Dedede silently breaks in. Despite the whole pile of dust filling in, Dedede motions us out to rescue Day. I really wonder what will happen with Kirby? No matter, we can catch him later. Meta Knight slices all the wires on the bottom of the electric grid. The entire basement goes black.

"June!" Thomas shouts out. "You don't get it - it's for your own good!"

"Yeah, is that what you told Thomas?" Yeesh, for a Republican girl, wasn't that a bit harsh, though?

We're already rushing towards our positions. I'm in charge in finding Kirby, and the first thing I think of is Commander Jameson's office. I run towards there, and I find Kirby sleeping, who looked liked he's mentally hurt. He also has a pair of glasses on his hand, with a note.

"I'm sorry."

That's the only thing the note says. I stuff it, along with the glasses on my ripped bandana, then wake Kirby up.

"Kirby!" I yell. "C'mon! We're escaping!"

Those three words must've woke Kirby up, because he quickly tries to pull me, trying to find everyone else.

"Wait- why were you knocked-"

"I'll explain it later!" Kirby replies. "Just tell me where everyone else is!"

I nod with a determined face and point the way for Kirby. Ms. Iparis is already rushing out of the firing squad hall with Day and John. Dedede helps Day up while me, Kirby, and Meta Knight try to protect John. Dedede's earpiece suddenly goes on, with Magalor talking.

"We have almost a minute left," Magalor shouts, "Meet me under Lor Starcutter, alright?"

"Got it! Let's go, go, go!" Dedede raises his hammer with his other free hand, and tries to slam the soldiers over. Everyone else basically does the same. 

Twenty-seven seconds left. We're doing a good distance. Really hope we don't all die-

"We're not going to make it," John interrupts.

DAG NABBIT! I think I know what this may mean... John suddenly stops walking.

"Wha- Wait! You gotta stay with us!" Meta Knight must've realized what's going on now.

"You need more time," he replies, "They want an execution? They'll get one." He's already on the move.

"There's no time!" Kirby says. "We'll unfortunately have to keep moving." We all waste a second looking back at John, running back down the hall, then we start moving again.

The time is up, all the guns are reactivated. A bunch of waddle dees are trying to stop us with their spears, but we fight back and knock em' dead. There's commotion from the other soldiers somewhere behind us, but none of us dare look back. 

After that, we reach the exits. As a last-ditch effort, those idiots put Gold Waddle Dees as our final enemy. We defeat them and run as far as we can from Batalla Hall.

We did it. We finally did it.
