Kirby

"I didn't mean to..." I sob at Bandana. But's it's probably too late. He doesn't trust me anymore.

"You promised me, then have her follow you to tell her about Day? I told you about him, and you wouldn't keep it a secret?!" Bandana starts to have an angry tone as my eyes start to water.

"But, I didn't mean to..." This was the first time EVER I fought with Bandana mentally, and it hurts to fight with my best friend.

"I trusted you as my best friend..." I can see tears in his eyes as well. "...and you repay me like this? Not EVERYTHING has to be a seek and kill, Kirby!" Bandana shoves me away and I fall on my back. Then he runs away, the opposite direction of Day, who was trying to reach to his family about the Republican team. I tried to follow him, but June stops me.

"C'mon, we gotta make sure his family is alright."

She sees the tears on my eyes.

"Don't worry, Kirby. After that, we'll find your friend." She holds my hand, but I can barely even walk if I just lost my best friend. We both follow Day, and June turns her mike on. A bit of static went by before Thomas starts talking.

"Talk to me, you two. What's going on? Where are you?"

"Day's heading towards Figueroa and Watson right now. I'm on his tail."

My sad, non-translatable poyo rings. Then a voice appears in my head, this time the booming one from before.

"WELL DONE, HERO. ALTHOUGH I GOTTA ADMIT, LOSING YOUR BEST FRIEND IS DISSAPOINTING... BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER."

I try to say something, but for some reason, I don't.

"LET ME FINISH! ONCE YOU'RE ABLE TO CAPTURE DAY, EVERY SINGLE POP STAR RESIDENT WILL BE TELEPORTED BACK HOME! AND I'LL MAKE SURE YOU AND BANDANA BECOME FRIENDS AGAIN... NOW SHUT UP AND GET BACK TO IT!"

The voice disappears before I can even reply. I doubt after a fight like that, we'll be able to get back together. 

During the chase, Day is sweating a lot and ignores helping up an old figure. I'm the only one who notices it's a Mr. Tick and Tock. We reach towards the three-lined house, where right now the Plague Patrol is there, slamming the door. I see William and Lancer near the corner of my eye, and escape June's grasp to hug them.

"William, Lancer! I missed you both!" They don't understand my Kirby language, but they still reply with a "I missed you too."

"What's wrong, Kirby?" Lancer asks me. I realize I'm crying. I explain my problem with Bandana by grabbing some rocks and acting it out with them. Lancer quickly on catches and hugs me back while William doesn't take a hint and gives me a mask. I don't have ears, so Lancer just ties it up. Like a bandana, which my used-to-be-friend had. By now, I have ignored my loss, and went back to my revenge mission. 

"Who needs Bandana anyway?" I mumble under my breathe in my kirby language. "I'm sure he can return home. For now..."

I stop crying and get back to the evil smirk, the one I did while talking to Ollie about Metias. This crap all started because of his death, and now, I'm gonna KILL that Day.

A crash from the house lowered my smirk a bit. It looks like Day's family, and let me tell you, they don't look so good. There's the occasional mother, who looked tired from something, a guy who looked kinda like Day, and what I assume is the little brother, who's tied to a gurney and seems sick as a Miasmoros. 

I notice blood spraying from a soldier who was holding the bigger male. He crumples, and now the other guys have their gun on the roof. I notice William and Lancer are the only ones who don't do anything. Turns out, Day used some kind of small object to shoot at the fellow, and is currently hiding behind the chimney. 

June tries to talk him out of it. "Day. I know you're here, and I know why." Shes pointing at his family members. Day is trying another object, which I can identify as a bullet now, but he's holding it as he aims it towards June.

"You want your family to be safe," she continues, "I understand that. I wanted my family to be safe too. Now I'm giving you a chance to save yours. Please. No one will get hurt."

As she says this, I remind myself that the only thing that was hurt was my heart from Bandana Dee. But I kinda lose my evil smirk and replace it with a worried look. Day shoots the bullet at a soldier who lifter his gun higher, and oh boy, did he go tumbling forward. The other soldiers start shooting back, and lots of sparks fly around. Commander Jameson steps forward, and ignores June's protests.

"You can't stay there forever!" Jameson shouted. "And I know you won't leave your family to die." By that point, William was lifting me up. I started to get confused.

Lancer notices this too. "William, what are you-"

"I sense they're gonna do something with the woman. I don't want anyone dying while I'm around with this pink thing. Lancer, as your friend, trust me for once."

"Well, he IS invincible, basically." Lancer doesn't dare look at the knife scar I have. 

Jameson shakes her head with Day's silent response. "Okay, Iparis. We've tried your tactic. Now let's try mind." She turns towards Thomas. "Cuff her."

"Now!" William shouts quietly. He throws me right to the front of the scene, and Thomas had already launched the bullet from his gun, aiming at the woman. I think quickly and start to inhale the bullet, hoping nothing bad would happen. But then something weird happens. 

I feel a shock inside my mouth, and the woman is still shot in the head. As for me, I wobble on the floor a bit, and then fall to the ground with my eyes closed, still concious. The bullet was inhaled, but something happened, and the woman STILL got shot. With one eye barely open, I see Day jumping off the roof. He's fighting off some soldiers, while Jameson tries to shoot his left leg. It missed, kinda, as it hits his outer thigh instead. Day is covered in a sea of soldiers, in which one knocks him out, cuff, blindfold, and gag him. 

Some kind of soldiers, one floating, another with a hammer, pick me up.

"Oh Iparis," Jameson says. She's the first one I listen to. "We'd be here all night if we kept negotiating. See how faster that was? Much more persuasive to our target."

Her cold eyes look at me. "No matter. Time for you to get in a jeep. Back to headquarters."

She's talking about me somehow.

The truck I'm transported to makes me sleepy. The lighting is better, though, and before I drift off, I notice something from the soldiers that saved me.
